In a van down by the river
How do you delete a letter or two in middle of a word. I have been using the backspace key but this deleted mor egg than I need /want ?
When you are using an app like Safari etc., hold down the Command key and a window will pop up showing you most if not all keyboard commands available with the app. Do that and see what it shows for deleting. I am still waiting on my iPad to arrive today.

I like the aluminum feel.

I'm not in love with the hinge though. it seems a bit hard to open and the only way to open it is to use two hands and to put the ipad vertical with the metal hinge against the table. I just feel like it'll eventually scratch the hinge which is a warning to those who purchased the black keyboards.

There appears to be some variance there.

I originally bought the MKB with a glossy 13” iPad at launch and it was as you say.

I could open it a little while holding it (awkwardly) and then put it down to finish spreading it—but not easily. And then when pulling it open, I had keep a palm on the keyboard or I’d just end up lifting instead of spreading.

Of course, I could open it putting it down spine-first and pulling the keyboard half to the table, like the older models. But I was concerned about scratches on the bare metal as well.

Then I returned that one while I ordered a nano iPad, and bought another MKB when that arrived a few weeks later.

My new one opens like a MacBook, flat on the table. It’s slightly difficult to get the “lid” started since there’s no cutout, but once I get the hinge opening at all it just pops right up. I don’t have to hold down the bottom or anything.

I’m actually a little worried the hinge will get *too* loose over time, but I have to say right now it’s pretty nice.

First time owning a Magic Keyboard ever for an iPad and I must say this one is excellent, can’t say anything about the previous generation ones though.

The black Magic Keyboard at the Apple Store was torn up to pieces in scratches and visible damage.

The white/silver keyboard seemed to hold up better to people messing with it, another reason I was glad to get the silver Pro / keyboard Combo.

Best iPad keyboard yet from Apple. Limitations like Esc. not doing anything in the YouTube App when in fullscreen, etc. have effectively nothing to do with the keyboard and are software limitations.

I’m on my 4th iPad Pro and finally bought the white/silver MKB when I got the new 13” iPad Pro. At first I though I made a mistake but after using a few days I now really like it. Wish it was easier to open but otherwise I have no major complaints.
