It's been a long time between updates, but here's a brief pictorial summary of Fenna over the last year.

What I get to wake up to! Yes, she sleeps with me & my partner & it's not uncommon to awake to this right up on my pillow.

Some from a building site where I was documenting a new build supermarket in exchange for access to an old abattoirs that is yet to be renovated. Even with loud equipment & dusty environs immediately beside us she was so calm & chilled out.

A few from some of our urban & rural explorations of abandoned places. She loves the time out in the country where she can just explore, sniff & run around freely.

I still don't know what happened to our meterman...

OH MY GOD! I have missed you. So great to see you back. Fenna is GORGEOUS more so than she was when she was a pup.

Hope you are OK.

Thanks for the warm welcome back, ken. I missed you lot, a lot! Unfortunately, I had to restrain my time online severely for quite a while, but it's been worth it in the long-run. It was nice to hop back on today & see a slew of familiar faces still haunting the halls here!

Fenna is an absolute blessing to have in my life. Have you moved on from the little wind-up thing to a real dog yet? ;)

I'm well, I hope that you & yours are too. For a hermit that loves his cave, this Verona Cirus situation is nothing for me!

Same here mate, I am antisocial and Introverted so lockdown is a breeze for me. Coming out of it is going to be the challenge for me.

Let's not talk about dogs.... We have hamsters now and the girls have pals with dogs so we are resisting still... though our little family wind up dog Olaf is still a bucket of fun. Think he is coming to visit this weekend - awesome....

So you've cured the alpaca fever in your girls? :D

Cheers :)

Fenna has grown up to be such a lovely looking dog! I remember when you were training with her. We have a four month old puppy; I hope ours grows up to be as chill as Fenna. Halley is in the middle of puppy craziness right now.

It is nice to have you back! I hope you can stay awhile but understand the need for social media breaks (although I can personally never stay away for long).

Great to see you back posting and to see how much Fenna has grown. Hopefully a big help to you to.

Nope... Alpaca still on the list.... as is a sheep, a Highland cow and a donkey... but as I am not the latter, we are not getting the former... :)
I hear Alpaca tastes nice with garlic, white wine & cream... ;)

Thanks, Molly. She may physically be full grown, but like Labrador's, she's a slow growing (mentally) breed! She has another year to year & a half till she's fully adult minded...

I'm gonna have to search for Halley on here now, I expect gratuitous puppy cuteness! 😍 I trust the family are loving her to bits?

Thanks AFB. It's good to be back again. It's a special community here! Fenna is amazing for me in so many ways!

One day we'll get you out of that cupboard under the stairs... ;)

Thanks oblomow, you haven't aged a day! What is the secret of your youthful avatar?

I'm travelling really well thanks. Hope all is well for you in your part of the world?

Everything ok here as well, family ok. We are healthy and have jobs.
The secret of my avatar is not updating it for 15 years. If only that worked with drivers licenses and passports...

Are you still active with the local photo groups?

I will send the little one down there and you can tell her that....
I might have to speak with Adam @The Bad Guy about how to let her know in a gentle manner. ;)

She is beautiful.
It's great to have you back. I've missed your images. I hope you'll be able to stay.
Thanks, Bruce. Yeah, I intend to hang around & loiter for ages. One of these days I will even finish editing that Mindful Photography book! It's more a possibility now than ever actually. 😊

Hi, and welcome back to both you and the lovely Fenna! She looks great in those photos and I'll bet she is a lot of fun as well as being a comfort, too! Stick around for a while this time; we've missed you!
Thanks, Clix. She still has the puppy brain, so if you can imagine three or four times a day having 34Kg of medium/large canine having maddies & zoomies, she's fun! As much as I love my partner so very, very deeply, Fenna is the best thing to have happened to my life! Just don't tell Debbie that... Now where's that spade, I'm sure I can dig my way out of that statement! 😇

I was sure it was due to the progressive European lifestyle. I would never have suspected such trickery!

I still hold the Mindful Photography groups through local community centres. At this point they are on hiatus, but small groups of up to ten people can come together for activities, so we should be able to get going in person again very soon! I tried delivering sessions via ZOOM, online forums & by weekly activities by email, but the participants all withdrew into themselves & many couldn't work out the technical side, even with as much assistance as I could remotely offer them. It's an organic, evolving initiative, so it is whatever it is at any point in time! 😃

Ha ha... yeah because that's who we turn to for the gently gently approach...

He has gone quiet on us too. We could see through his tough exterior.

Oh, for the record... just so we are clear, the day I meet Fenna (and you) in person.... I know when service dogs are working you are not allowed to play with them and you should leave them alone but.... well, yeah... not happening... just so we are clear.

Go feed the hamster! Back when my daughter was young and I knew nothing about photography I can remember trying to get a decent photo of her hamster who would never sit still. Crappy point and shoot, poor lighting and a fast moving rodent. I think you can guess the results! When it died I took the images to work and asked one of my photography colleagues if he could make them better in PS. As you can imagine he was not able to do much!

As long as you're not expecting a saddle for rides! ;)

They must have been a PS novice, a real pro would have taken advantage of the motion blur & stuck it in a biplane so you could explain that it had flown off on a big adventure. I'm picturing the Biggles headgear & scarfe! Never ask a novice to perform magic! 🤣

Small animals and fast twitch muscles... make for a long photo session to get a decent one. Here is the criticism I get from them when I try to get an image... screams "this guy is frickin useless with a camera!"

Even the hamster is camera shy!

I think that's actually a rather quaint photo, but what do I know, I share my bed with a dog that drools on my pillow & snores louder than me.
