It doesn't matter where you have bought your hub, from Apple or elsewhere...
If you want some peace of mind you have to buy a hub with VIA chipset VL812-B2 or newer...

I thank you for your suggestion.
The problem I see is that dealers do not indicate the chipset.
Do you know which hubs have such a chipset?
Your information will be very appreciated.

I think that Orico and Plugable have similar hubs.
