had $25 off at BestBuy, so finally ordered AirPods (one of my wife’s Christmas presents for me).

Not a big fan of BestBuy but couldn’t pass getting $25 off through discounts.

How does everyone like their AirPods? I mostly want them for using with my Apple Watch while exercising and for easy listening at work.

I been waiting for months for black airpods or a discount and gave up and ordered them yesterday at full price. I should have gotten them months ago.

They have excellent battery life and pair seamlessly with the iPhone. What I like most about them, is how secure they actually stay inside your ears when using them. Sound quality for what it's worth is actually decent.

Just curious, What don't you like about Best Buy?

I like them a lot for listening, but I didn’t understand how quickly they would drain during the video chats I do all day long for work. I would also like to have a little more room in the charging case for the little rubber hooks that a lot of us need to keep, them in our ears, so we don’t have to take those on and off all the time.

Is there any downside to ordering from BestBuy vs. Apple? I don’t know why but I’m concerned that they could send me AirPods that aren’t new or have some issue. Totally farfetched thoughts considering I ordered the full priced version, not refurbished or anything, but still..

I use mine ever day and love the battery life on the pods and case and ease of use across all my Apple devices. So awesome taking just one pod out to pause and I double tap for tracks forward/backward. Having true wireless is amazing - tried Rowkin and others but fell short on battery and sound while BeatsX were ok, that neck wire was annoying.

Similarly I waited too long to buy these thinking they’d hurt or not look good. Sure I would have loved a black version over the bright white but they have Skins for it in so many different colors. I got a desert camo skin which is pretty cool. As for hurting - like anything eventually that goes away I just never gave the old free EarPods a chance plus the wires tugging made those worse. AirPods fit perfectly now and have not fallen out once either while running working out, golfing or mowing the lawn.

I got mine two weeks ago and I can't believe I waited this long. They're just so much more convenient for everything than any wired headphones.

still cant get over the design. it makes me cringe every time I see them in person. Ill stick to my jaybird freedoms.

I feel for those who can't get over the look. Their benefits outweight the looks, ten-fold. Get over the looks, & a liberating/practical solution to streaming music, videos, podcasts etc. awaits.

They're a revelation alright. Household chores are made enjoyable....I can mow the lawn & hear my music clearly wearing these things fcol.

Enjoy buddy. I've had mine for 11 months. Wish I could say how many hours I've used them for....would be handy to know actually.....bloody heaps. Amazing piece of tech.

I feel like that is what happens when you get any bluetooth earphones honestly. Growing up skating and always having wired headphones right when I went bluetooth it was a huge insane feeling of freeness.
Well not exactly the first time I dont think bluetooth was that great till jaybirds blubud x a few years back as they felt like a big step up in music quality and performance. I tried bluetooth before this and the music was choppy, sound quality was ehh and it was uncomfortable.
I really dont mind the small wire behind my head and how slim the freedoms feel in my ears with memory foam tips. I like sound isolation and the time ive had with apples open design kills sound quality for me. The sound quality of the freedoms or the x2/x3 kills the AirPods. Im sorry there is no contest here which is my MAIN reason why I want to keep them.Apples are nice if you like semi decent sound with convenience but I cant get passed the tampon hanging out of your ear look.
Apple should of made these better designed instead of just basically cutting off the cable on the current free headphones in the box of our iPhones. Its really a shame the way they went with this. Reminds me of the older bluetooth headsets in a way too. White doesn't make things any better here. Only thing I want from this package is S1 chip. Everything else doesn't do it for me.

When I first saw the airpods I chuckled and said never..how's that saying go, never say never? My Airpods are my favorite Apple tech atm...I can't imagine not having them.

Black airpods would be great.

If you put skins on them, will they still fit in the charger?

They would be great, if only they would stay in my ears. But, they don’t. I have a pair and use them, but I’m constantly worried about losing them when they fall out, as they inevitably do.

Have you tried the little hooks you can get on Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/AhaStyle-Air...id=1511654031&sr=8-10&keywords=Ear+hooks&th=1 They make AirPods/EarPods work for me. But I totally feel you that they shouldn’t be necessary. Or at least that the case should accommodate them.

I feel like anything that prevents me from easily popping them in and out of the case defeats the idea behind them. I tried a couple of different things to improve the fit, but having to put them on/take them off/figure out where to keep them when not in use was far too much of a hassle.

There was a thread here where someone attached a couple of flat rubber (could've been felt) dots on the Airpods, which help with fit (ears) & also allowed them to fit in the case.

Yeah, the taking on and off is annoying if you do it frequently. In terms of where to keep the little things, I got this case that comes with a little elastic bit that holds them in:

Agreed. The Freedoms are really discreet looking. I don’t use the wings on them because the earpiece alone is a great fit into my ear with the the small comply tip creating a great seal. They are small yet provide astonishing sound quality. I too believe the white AirPods scream, “look at my ears!” and my large ears are not exactly my best attributes/facial features . A jet black or matte black version would probably sway my opinion and I still have hopes for v2.
