UPDATE: I had to start completely over and reinstall Windows 10 - fresh Boot Camp. Here was my method:

1. Install Windows 10 fresh with both the 5700 MPX and 6900 XT cards installed. When I did this it installs the blue generic AMD drivers included with Boot Camp.

2. Shut down and remove the 5700 MPX - boot into Windows with only the 6900 XT installed. Now, install the latest AMD adrenaline drivers (straight from AMD). I did not use the drivers from bootcampdrivers because it causes a flickering issue - which is why I had to start completely over. Once the true AMD Adrenaline drivers were installed, it made the 6900 XT work like it's supposed to.

3. I tested the machine - did some gaming without the 5700 MPX. Then I shut down and reinstalled MPX - booted into Windows 10 and everything is working together, no flickering. I am running an LG 38" Ultrawide on the 6900 XT, and an LG 5K Ultrafine via the 5700 MPX in Windows 10 and everything is working. I have not tried to reboot into Mac OS and then back to Windows 10, but so far is working (finally).

I think the main thing is: do it in this order and it should work!
Yeah that sounds about right, I've had to do that little dance as well a few times to get things working.

Is there still a booting issue with the latest Mac OS 12.3.1 and using third-party RX 6900 XT cards + an MPX card - for both Windows Bootcamp and Mac OS use?

I'll answer my own question. I just installed a Gigabyte RX 6900 XT Gaming OC card and have Windows
BootCamp issues with the existence of both an MPX card and this.

have you tried removing the MPX module? I've read that on the nMP you have to get completely rid of the MPX in order to use aftermarket cards with Windows. Otherwise, the machine just keeps trying to recognize the MPX module.

Hi, yeah that’s the official solution. The only issue is by removing the MPX card, you lose all Thunderbolt port functionality in the MP. I‘ll try Bootcamp driver tomorrow.

Otherwise I guess an MPX version is the only way to go to keep all functions intact.

BTW, I saw somewhere that even on the RX6800/6900XT's that have the USB-C connector, it supposedly doesn't work on Macs, so you are stuck with using DP or HDMI. I'll see if I can find the link to where I read that.

Thanks. Yeah I read those and was in denial that it was the only solution. Well at least, officially.

I don’t mind removing the slower MPX, but to lose TB3 ports is strange. And that the feature is built into the GPU versus the motherboard itself.

Anyway, it was a project. Will eventually use it as an eGPU.

Okay so Bootcamp drivers fixed the issue by allowing both to coexist in Windows.

I didn’t have to do anything special like uninstall previous drivers, boot in safe mode, etc. All I did was run the program (chose the Red version), no factory reset even. It installed drivers for both.

Strange how Apple cant do the same
thing with their own Bootcamp install since they already coexist under Mac OS.

Thanks. Pretty stoked it's working fine. Was gaming CSGO for a few hours with no issues in-game or with Windows.

I found out though that there is no way to dictate which GPU to use for specific apps. The AMD Adrenaline software is reporting everything just fine (all the kinds of stats of both GPUs as well as game performance stats). But no way to switch GPUs.

The only solution I believe (same as when using Mac OS) is to attach the displays to the GPU in order to make that the primary one. As I'm using a Pro Display XDR, I'm still waiting on the delivery of USB-C to DisplayPort cables from Amazon which is rated up to 8K bandwidth. So crossing my fingers these will work well when they arrive.
