Is this a Qi based product? I wonder if the S3/Note 2 wireless charging retrofit would work with this product.

Yes, it uses Qi technology, so in theory it should.




Something I found weird is that the phone won't light up when you pull it off the Orb. It will when you place it on there, but not when you take it off. Also, your phone will play a jingle when its placed on the Orb if you are running 4.2.2

Yes, it is a Qi charger. It should work if the retrofit follows the standard, I know it works with the Droid DNA.

After getting used to the Palm Touchstone I preordered one of these from Pure Mobile as soon as it came up for order. Now that Pure Mobile says they should be available in April and Google is shipping them now I feel kind of dumb...
