Since upgrading to 2.0 I have an odd problem. When my phone is recharging it automatically adjust the ringer volume to 1/2 or less. I usually keep it at full.

I have noticed push not working if you dont access your email for a while. it will be 12 at night and my email will say last update 3:30. I also noticed that some emails the text reaches off the screen but I cant scroll side to side to read the end characters at all.

Welcome to Apple's definition of "push" -- it has been that way seen v1.0 -- and I can't believe that there hasn't been an uproar about that either.

1 . Auto lock doesn't seem to work at all
2. Double click home button doesn't do as I've told it to 'Settings'
3. Phone becomes completely unresponsive. Putting it into the dock seems to bring it back to life but it's pretty annoying.

Poor show Apple.

1. Significant lags (requires daily reset),
2. Weird bug, but about 25% of the time that I unlock the phone while listening to music and the iPod app is up, it will go directly to the SMS text screen if I have text messages stored (but not any new messages received) instead of going to the iPod screen.

Hi all. I have a 2.0 firmware unlocked iPhone that began life with the 1.1.2 firmware and HW unlocked (about 5 hours before the software unlock was released!).

I've experienced two problems since upgrading to 2.0.

1) I had been playing on the phone for a while. I pressed Mobile News icon and the phone resprung back to the springboard and I had a "NO SIM INSTALLED" message, no connection. It was scary, as I was out at a restaurant and thought my phone was suddenly dying! Multiple reboots and it didn't work. Eventually after 15 minutes I regained connection and the message just went away.

2) I received a call and slid the slider to answer. When the slider got to the end, instead of answering the call, the phone froze at that point. The phone still was vibrating until I presume the person hung up, but the entire time my phone was stuck on the 'answer' screen. Only happened once so far.

1. Calendar colors not consistent with iCal.

2. Force quitting apps (e.g., Scrabble) sometimes causes reboot (why???).

3. iPhone App Store and iTunes sometimes do not display same App Update information.

Weird bug when selecting from a list

My problem has been around pre 2.0 but I also see it in 2.0:

Occasionally when I choose an item from a list it will highlight that item until I release my finger and the phone selects the item that appears a few rows below the one I selected. It happens infrequent enough to prove it to the Apple store but frequent enough to be incredibly annoying. It makes it impossible (without going back to the home screen) to select something from a list sometimes. This first started pre 2.0 but I see it in the new update too. If only i could get it to happen everytime!

has anyone noticed how long it takes iTunes to recognize your phone when you plug it in (i get the spinning beach ball). or is it just me?

It varies significantly for me. Sometimes iTunes recognizes my iPhone fairly quick (spinning ball shows briefly), but other times iTunes will freeze with spinning ball when I plug in my iPhone (unfreezes when I unplug). I then have to restart iTunes and keep my fingers crossed.

Mine seems to take a long time also. Syncing my phone the first time to 7.7 was a horrible experiance. i had to try 5-6 times.

First off i live in a bad part of town. Rather than turning my phone off at night i turn it to airplane mode, to conserve battery, and so that should someone break into my house i can dial 911 without having to wait for the whole phone to turn on. Before the update i could usually dial a number, tap call and it would ask me if i wanted to turn airplane mode off, i'd hit yes and the call would go through. Now with 2.0 you actually have to go to settings hit disable air plane mode, and then go make a call. It wastes valuable time.

Battery usage. Whatever they did with 2.0 sucks the life out of the battery. I now can not make it 24 hours. I thought it was exchange, but my wife's is behaving the same way and she does not have exchange enabled.

App store (app update)

Just had an "update" show up on the App store on my first gen iPhone. I'm thinking, "Great!" not just one update was there but 3.

Click on the update and it starts to install, them my phone just crashed. I got the Black screen with the silver Apple and the working wheel. Just sat there for at least 20 minutes. I do a hard reset, same thing. Now I'm doing a total restore. Thanks Apple!
