Aside the apparent paperlike controversy (why there has to be one one can only guess), you should also give concepts a look. It’s pretty cool.

I use:
Lightroom, affinity photo and designer, Photoshop, raw power (new addition to my iPad), pixelmator photo, procreate, concepts, animate, shapr 3D, photopills, strongbox, goodnotes, standard notes, FileBrowser….

Pretty sure I’ve missed some but these apps are all excellent

Unfortunately, I am at a loss in regards to the vocabulary question at the moment. I had a trip to the ER this morning and my mind is still a little slow due to the meds. Maybe someone will chime in and shed light on that good idea.
Oh man hope you are ok. feel better soon.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. Quick follow up. Downloaded Affinity Designer, and it awesome! Exactly what I am looking for in my ad/print designs. I’ve got a bit of a learning curve as I’ve been on Adobe for over 20 years now, but Affinity Designer on the iPad is great, especially with the pencil. You can’t beat the one time price either.

Another great hidden gem is Art studio pro. It is a proper photoshop alternative for iPad. It also supports adjustment layers which Procreate lacks. Screen protectors are not that great for digital art. Matt covers will reduce the screen quality and tempered glass will reduce pencil sensitivity and line quality. You can get used to tempered glass though. Stay away from paperlike unless you have a Apple pencil tips factory.

Never replaced my Apple Pencil tip and use it daily along with paperlike. ?‍♂️
Also, procreate has adjustments which you can apply to layers, not quite the same thing, but it’s not quite lacking them either.

Not lacking them because it is the absolute basic thing. Any serious art program must have adjustment layers these days. Also Procreate has acknowledged the lack of adjustment layers and they may add this feature soon. Are you using your ipad to draw pro digital art nearly every day? If yes, then for how long have you installed paper like?

To be honest, I agreed with you. But you can adjust the layers with the same adjustments. So whilst it’s most definitely lacking adjustment layers, you can still adjust the layers. Hence why I said ‘not quite lacking’. I’m aware it’s not the same thing, but it’s also something which is not entirely unavailable with some creative thinking.
It’s weird to imply procreate isn’t a ‘serious’ art programme.

I can’t be arsed to talk to you about pencil tips. I have had this argument too many times - some people get on with paperlike, some don’t. I don’t ask you to ‘prove’ your distaste for them by giving me stats on your pencil usage. I merely wanted to point out that paperlike doesn’t particularly wear the nib of my pencil, contrary to your suggestion.
