Flash is unstable Buggy Garbage. Check out http://flashcrash.dempsky.org/
They detail a bug that has been well known in flash yet nothing has been done about it. Good riddance to flash IMO!

Don't believe Flash is buggy crap? Try loading that page. It will crash the plugin and or your browser

Loaded it on my Imac 10 times and never once did it crash. What is the blue box supposed to do?

It crashes your flash plugin, if you're on Chrome or Safari. Otherwise your browser will crash.

Also assuming you have flash running.

Apple is taking every tech-related risk under the sun with the iPad. NO ONE ELSE is taking similar risks or pushing us forward. iPod Touch, iPhones, App Store. Pure risk.

Pushing HTML5 and then announcing publicly Flash (which pervades the web) is garbage = huge risk.

Ignoring netbooks and sticking to your Premium business model in a recession = major risk.

Apple has easily taken more risks over the last decade than anyone else. The company thrives on it. Hence, the rewards Apple is enjoying today. One of the defining characteristics of Apple's behaviour is that they consistently go against industry trends (when they're not busy dictating them) and what's more, is that they consistently flout conventional wisdom

I'm not sure if this makes much sense to everyone

Bingo!

smetvid- I cannot believe you have the audacity to show such hypocrisy after my response to you in your Flash thread yesterday. A response which you still haven't put forward a counter-argument toward… I assumed that meant you understood my points, but instead you're just filtering through all the threads and continuing to post your pro-Flash stance as if your job at Adobe depended on it.

Dude what the heck are you talking about? I did respond to your last post. You are the one filtering through threads with your anti-Flash stance. I have never worked for Adobe or any other software company. I am a web designer plain and simple. If you would have read my response you would have seen that I have no direct love for Flash. I use it because right now as in today it is the best tool for the job. I have tried to be as open as possible but you are the one who is very narrow minded. Your stance is that Flash should die because it isn't perfect. You have some sort of grudge against Flash and all I want is for people to be able to make their own choices. Why is that such a bad thing for you? If you hate Flash so much then don't use it. I happen to enjoy viewing Flash sites on my Mac but yet you don't want me to have that option. You are the one that doesn't seem to listen. You first accused me of being a PC user even though I clearly stated my performance on my Imac. Now you are accusing me of being an Adobe employ which I am not. Maybe you should stop assuming I am somebody I am not. All I am trying to do is look at both sides here and all you want to do is say Flash should go away. The last time I looked I still had the right to my own opinion and the right to share my own personal experiences with people.

I ran your link in Firefox and Safari over ten times each and it didn't crash at all. In fact I kept a tab of a animated flash site open just to make sure the plugin wasn't crashing in the background. I would love to reproduce this bug so I could see it for myself but I just can't seem to get Flash to crash the browser. Is there another site you have as an example?

If there was multitasking and Flash. I would have had my eyes set on the ipad Now the release of the ipad has just made me feel better about having an iPhone.
