Problems Flashing 9800 Pro 128MB
Tried using OrangeSVTguy's instructions for flashing my ATI 9800 Pro with the ATIhack_Radeon9800 Pro-V130 reduced 64MB rom.
I am connected by Apple Remote Desktop to a G5 2.3GHz with the ATI Radeon card installed. I downgraded the operating system to Tiger 10.4.9 and installed the Java updates. Have Graphiccelerator 1.3.3 installed along with the Multi & Flash Dumpers on the desktop. I ran the "Run me First" after the first stage as suggest. When I get to the stage where you flash the reduced 64MB file back on the card I get a white box and the computer locks. Doesn't go into a hardware panic with the fans blasting just a complete lock up.
Was looking at the read me first I mean it .txt file and it said the G5 might need to be booted in safe mode if running 10.4. Remote desktop isn't able to log in so I'm not sure if that's the case.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
