Desktop Flat icons

I'd love to see a new icon for Pixelmator. I've always felt that the current one doesn't live up to the standard of the app itself.

Anybody else have there iWork apps change back after updating today?

If you are a MacRumors newbie, chances are I will disregard your post.

If you update an app, the old one gets overwritten.
And of course the icon inside the app gets overwritten, too.
This is regular behavior.

I've changed the dock icon for jDownloader, but overtime time i open the program the icon goes back to the original version.

There's nothing you can do afaik. jD just downloads updates quite often and part of the updated files/app is also the icon...

You can change the icon directly inside the app (not via cmd-i). This will also still work when the app gets updated. The problem is - at least in Jdownloader2 - it uses a dynamic icon, so it will change as soon as you start the program (and then revert back on quit).

I saw a nice Icon made for VMWare Fusion here in an earlier post, but that was basically a Windows 8 logo, but I'd love to use flat version closer to the original logo.
