Honor Magic Vs3 Foldable Might Beat Samsung's Cheap New Galaxy Foldable To Market - BGR
Chinese vendor Honor teased the Honor Magic Vs3 foldable phone in China well before Samsung showed off its cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6 variant.

Not really seeing any bonuses. Only crazy discounts off accessories.I am not going to order one but I always like to go through the website to order just for kicks. Is there really no preorder bonus for accessories anymore? Yikes? Miss those good ole days with Sammy where you would get $250 to spend.
Yep. I'm pretty much fully an Apple guy now because as a musician, there are some apps that Apple just crushes compared to Android, so it wouldn't make sense. But I'm always interested in what the other side has to offer. Not really seeing any bonuses. Only crazy discounts off accessories.
Right now, I'm getting 1,2600 worth of savings... but this is only for the Fold 6. I'm trying to debate whether to pull the trigger... not really seeing a reason to. If these Galaxy AI features that's coming in an OneUI 6.1.1 update... is coming to the Fold 4. What's the point?
Now, if there's features tied only to the Fold 6... I'd consider buying.
Have you gone through the process of adding everything to the cart?$100 more for this year's devices and the watch ultra looks pretty interesting.
If you have a 15 Pro/Max... I personally wouldn't upgrade, since you are already eligible for Apple Intelligence.I'm in the same boat with iPhone. I usually upgrade every year but it really looks like the true upgrade is within iOS this year, not the actual hardware. Might save my money and blow it on a new guitar instead. Haha
yes I already my pre order in, I traded in my Fold 5($1000) and $100 off for pre order bonus.Have you gone through the process of adding everything to the cart?

Because nowadays, hardware improvements are very minor... software features are where companies trying to sell us on.
If you have your eyes set on the Pixel Fold 2nd generation... Samsung will have deals enticing you to buy its Fold 6, so you can wait if you like.Ah I don't know what to do. Pre-Order this one now with its Pre-Order perks or wait for the Google Pixel 2 Fold announcement in August to compare the two.
yeah here too in Canada. There is no free memory upgrade for pre-orders this year! At least in Germany.
And just like that my intention to pre-order went out of the window

But any idea what you are looking in a Fold? What are your thoughts on Android in general? Pixel or OneUI... that's essentially what is all about.
Only 1100? Have you tried doing the Rakuten deal?yes I already my pre order in, I traded in my Fold 5($1000) and $100 off for pre order bonus.
I saw a couple of polls (Twitter polls so yeah) that showed that people are less and less interested in Foldables this year. Makes me wonder if foldables as we know it might fizzle out a bit, maybe a reinvention is in order.Disappointing "upgrades" from Samsung who seem to continue to let their Folds be a side project compared to their main line devices.
Thankfully have zero interest in anything Samsung related but at least wanted to see them attempt to try and push the competition a bit with their offerings seeing as they paved the way for this form factor to begin with.
I think there's definitely interest in them but they're quite niche.I saw a couple of polls (Twitter polls so yeah) that showed that people are less and less interested in Foldables this year. Makes me wonder if foldables as we know it might fizzle out a bit, maybe a reinvention is in order.
I'm still very interested in them. I use my Pixel Fold daily alongside my 15PM. Seems like the Z Fold has been mostly the same since the ZF3 though, so people have mostly lost interest in what Samsung is doing because the line has kind of become stale. I'm actually tempted by the ZF6 because even though the design changes are slight, I really do like the squared off corners and very slight increase in the outer display area. Waiting to see what is in store for the Pixel Fold 2 before I jump on anything though.I saw a couple of polls (Twitter polls so yeah) that showed that people are less and less interested in Foldables this year. I believe that's coming in October... at least, that's what the rumors are saying.Any mention of the slim version?
I mostly wanted to see some camera improvements. Still wanting a slightly wider outer display. They don't need to reinvent the wheel with the ZF IMO. I'm leaning towards getting one at some point but do want to see what OnePlus does with the successor to the Open, and what Google has in store with the Fold 2.Not sure what folks were expecting with the Galaxy Fold 6... it's all about iterative updates.
Apple is known for doing this... look at the iPhone 12 Pro to the iPhone 15 Pro, they made minor updates to the hardware. And it took them years to upgrade from a 12MP to 48MP, same with the Google Pixel.
I probably end up upgrading to the Fold 6, but I'm not in a rush (maybe lying to myself lol). Definitely picking up the Watch 7 Ultra.
