Once my outside screen protector comes in I'm going to go caseless.. phone feels great with no case on it... The Samsung case fits awesome but the lip just irritates me when I'm trying to do my gestures from the corner in closed position.. most cases irritate me from the corner lol.. I think the aramid case was the only one that was a non-issue on previous phones..
I returned my case to Best buy today.. while I was there I decided to check out the s pen case that is a very nice case but the front is the same if you're using gestures I find that annoying if you don't use the gestures they fit very well

That been my experience as well with the spen case. I've gone through that one and the Torras magsafe case with spen holder which I don't like either due to limited access to the fingerprint button.

Still on the lookout for a good form factor that holds an Spen. Anyone?

I thought this was neat guide to show users examples of the new features…. one thing I took from it, it’s better to have Show Air command icon always visible and tap on it. Because sometimes when I press the button it doesn’t register.

Great find on this tutorial video!

Finally Samsung made steps much more efficient. The purpose and use case of Fold and Flip is continually expanding changing how we use our phones.

Gen Z is eating it up like hotcakes.
I still want Z Flip 6 to support Dex and with that huge Vapor Chamber there is no reason not to any longer.

Swear I saw in developer settings it lets you use dex
Some folks want that option to use DeX on the Fold itself, I'm of the group that doesn't see the point in it... because One UI already has plenty of options.

There's Edge Panel (not on DeX), Multi-Window, Pop-out Window... task bar and the gestures to multi-tasking effectively. But supposedly, that's not enough.

To be fair I’ve never used dex on TV

On tablet yes but on TV? Don’t see the point

Tempted by Z flip 6

I miss not having one UI but not paying £1100 for one now.

Might give it 4 months and get one half the price.

Dex on monitor? Yes... but TV, I don't know. Because most TVs have their own OS dedicated to displaying apps for entertainment or maybe use their set top box.

I'm still concerned about the camera. I'm sure its ok, but the PF took some really good photos. Not sure I trust the ZF6 as my only camera at the Morgan Wallen/Koe Wetzel concert tonight so I'll probably lug my S24U along for the show as well.
I did a few adjustments to the settings myself which I think will be good enough including the camera assistant from Good Lock ..but I do have the Pixel 8 Pro on standby haha

I see on cex you can already get the flip 6 on there for £670 and z fold 6 for as low as £1200 now that's very reasonable

I'm still waiting on two different S Pen cases to be delivered. In the meantime, I replaced my original clear case with another model.

The initial slim case has a thick edge along the front screen that impedes use of the fingerprint sensor. The second clear case has a tapered edge along the front cover where the fingerprint sensor meets up so it allows your thumb or finger to sit flush with the sensor:

Curious to hear (and see) camera comparisons of Pixel Fold Vs ZFold 6. That is the one (big) concern making me wait for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in August.

Can someone post photo comparisons? Please. 😄

I am loving my Fold 6. I feel like I did when I got my IPhone 6. Loved that phone also. It's thinner, lighter, wider, and brighter. The width difference coming from a Fold 4 is good. I still wish it was a little wider, but it's much better.

I'm not for it but if you've fiddled eith your Fold via Termux to install Linux .. then the power increases exponentially. I'm unsure if Qualcomm's WiFi/BT chipsets are Aetheros based where Linux White/Black hat practices and methods could be used with say Kali Linux and intrusion testing would work?

I could've sworn just last week seeing a promotional discount ad by Samsung on their site showing Dex ON the Z Fold 6 screen. Enabling that would give Dex another scabbard over upcoming Android OS' minimal Desktop mode offer.

Don't you your computers at all for 3 months yet still having to work remotely, uodate your resume, troubleshooting computers and you'll see just how useful it is - especially with proper M365 document editing (on device not just in M365 cloud, and with VPN for a Windows desktop in Azure Hyper-V or a remote workstation or instance in the corporate office.

Monitor or TV is the same at that point especially tirelessly using Cast or the other method like I did with my S23 on my 32" via FireStick 4K yet TV was 1080p

You simply cannot so jack-squat with AN iPhone. Heck you have to physically unlock the iPhone screen to physically rotate it just to use apps in landscape mode! the last ios I used was ios16 and it still did that and you HAVE TO HAVW an Apple TV to do so. There is no desktop mode for anything except websites in Safari or other browsers when ur icloud account is not in the EU. The iPhone still continues to be exactly and ONLy that: a phone. There is nothing really smart about it, just easier for basic phone tasks to make you feel smart for spending that much for limitations because dialing, merging 2 separate calls for a conference call is still too difficult on other phones for too many users in 2024 even. Sad really.

Does ZF6 have ProRes & ProRAW modes by default like the S23 /S24 /S22 and S21 have???

I finally got my Spigen SP easy install with a little border so hopefully no issues with cases for peeps. I will say I love using the phone naked but I did order a Latercase preorder for August to alternate. My only gripe while no case it laying the phone down with camera wobble
