would anyone be interested in a review by someone that is not an influencer (me) later today? I can compare it to the iPhone 16 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Fold 6.

My idea is to mirror the Home Screen layout first and then focus on hardware, photos (amateur) and what I potentially might be missing from One UI.

I could do a write down since I don't like my voice :D

edit: I am in love and I have not even turned it on yet! it feels so much lighter! the crease puts my Fold 6 to shame and it is actually flat on the surface unlike the Galaxy with the right hand side always being uneven

Hi,

I am interested in this phone.
I would like to hear some unbiased opinion software and hardware wise.

Hi,

I am interested in this phone.
I would like to hear some unbiased opinion software and hardware wise.

Hardware:

Unboxed it and was like 😱. It’s insanely thin but feels super solid. Can’t remember the last time I was this impressed by a device right out of the box. Probably the iPhone generations ago

Battery & Charging:

Fast charging is on point. With my usual 80% to 30% daily use, it easily lasts the whole day.

Camera:

It’s decent. Don’t really use the ultra-wide lens, and the main camera is good enough for Instagram. Still, I’d take my iPhone 16 Pro on vacations.

Fingerprint Sensor:

At first, thought the fingerprint sensor was a bit high. Now, I’m so used to it that I find myself searching for it on my Fold 6. Funny how quickly habits form.

Software:

Multitasking is amazing. Pairs well with my Galaxy Watch. Miss some OneUI tweaks, but you get used to it. Oppo’s monthly updates have been solid so far.

Overall:

No regrets. My Fold 6 now feels bulky, heavy, and kind of cheap. The crease stands out more than I remembered. After using the N5 as my main device, it’s hard to go back.

It really depends on how much you actually love One UI. I’d say ColorOS 15 feels to me like iOS with more limited settings and customization

Thank you for the time taken to write all the essential info about the Find N.
I am very interested in the software side because that is what concerns me.
I like One UI but I can live without it. What annoys me are the many rough edges of some android devices. For example, I have the tandem oled tablet from Huawei which is hardware wise a technical marvel but the software has tons of irritating glitches which compromises its usability.
So, how usable is the Find N?

please confirm if your "always on display" notification icons appear with the same parent app colour?

some reviewers had said no

So far, no glitches and everything’s been super smooth. I’d say the standout feature of ColorOS 15 is how fluid the animations are. I do miss some aspects of One UI, but honestly, after a while, you get used to not having them.

Things I initially missed:
  • More lock screen customizations like rotating wallpapers or lock screen widgets.
  • Stacked widgets on the home screen.
  • Having more than 4 apps in the dock.
  • Better notification design. The app icons are pretty small or not in color, so it’s hard to tell which app sent a notification at a glance.
  • Routines. They’re not available by default and require a third-party app like Tasker. But I don’t want something running in the background constantly, so I decided against it.
  • Some apps, like Outlook, don’t show a notification badge on their icons for some reason.
  • One UI lets you have what feels like unlimited floating windows. On ColorOS, you can only have one floating window on top of three other multitasking apps and switch between two floating windows. Plus, you can’t resize them as freely.
  • Always On Display is quite limited to the design options they provide. You can’t display your wallpaper in the background.
  • Probably the biggest deal for most: no Good Lock, so you can’t do things like One Hand Operation +.

I'm looking forward to using one UI 7 on the Z fold

This question is specific for the Fold 5 but I'd assume this aolloto the Fold 6 as well. I've been using the Samsung S Pen cases since the phone was new but over time and especially when I sweat the part for the cover screen tends to come off. Is this an issue with all cases or just the Samsung? It hasn't caused me an issue yet but I can see me accidentally dropping it with the case not on correctly.

I have always used Samsung cases for my 1-6 Fold and my wife's 1-5 Flip, never had an issue and we live in hot climes (Thailand) and around the pool etc

The F5 and 6 front part of the case is a lot thinner than previous and I do find one edge flexes at times, but has never parted or dropped off and my wife often swaps sims and her cases still stay on fine after taking them off and on.

Think you have just been unlucky :)

Possibly. For the most part it isn't a big deal but now it's hot and when I'm doing stuff outside the front part of the case comes off a lot.

I have seen this reported on several sites now.
If this is true....this is going to be my next phone!
Release rumors are for the beginning of July....

It is now Go big Or go home for Samsung with competitors all on its throat and Apple folding rumours also on full throttle

I like where recent speculation is pointing . I am in the camp that looks for finer aesthetics and refinements

I am excited

Maybe there is going to be an impossibly thin lite version and a thicker pro version, regardless the camera going to be a bump for sure :)

I know Samsung focus is thinner but this report seems off. Will see I guess

Onleaks said it would be 9.5m. this would be a big jump from that
