This chickpea salad was rocking all the notes, simple vinegar/mustard oil type dressing.

Did you ever make your own flatbread type thing, we did it and it was good, fun times and delicious.

It was a super simple self rising flour and yogurt and baking powder. We were short on yogurt so we ended up adding 1-1/2 cups buttermilk and it turned out good.

These were used to wrap up some kabob meat and veggies and tzaziki sauce.

In a coffee shop.
Got another bag of lemons from our friend of over 20 years who just happens to live close by. I planted my own lemon tree this year so looking forward to some of my own produce. You just can’t beat home squeezed lemon aid! :D

My mouth is watering; I love lemons and citrus fruit are in season at the moment.

Went to another one of my favorite restaurants for curbside pick up( chef/owner is the same one as my other favorite restaurant). Prime rib, potatoes, sautéed spinach, Caesar salad, oatmeal cream pie, and paired with red wine( I don’t drink, but dad enjoyed it). It was delicious.

Also ordered my once a year coffee going for Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee this year. 47DC4DBD-1862-4050-B1FD-8D7CCC755583.jpeg

You should try making some simple lemony treats for yourself too!

Poached Lemons & Candied Lemon slices can turn any sane person into an absolute fiend!

I’ve always been a huge fan of lemon bars, but those are not known for being all of that healthy ofva treat. :)

Oh absolutely. My suggestions to you are the farthest cry from healthy 😆

It’s the same reason I don’t make them myself too often. It’s a dangerous game having them lying around the house!

Is the oatmeal cream pie that thing top left? It looks like a miss-shaped yorkshire and made me wonder where all the gravy was :)

Sorry forgot to take a pic at first, man these things are really good. Aged tinned fish, hmmm what could go wrong. Seriously delicious for real, best tinned/canned sardines I have had in a while.

Where are they from?

Ah, I see: Peers at picture: Portugal, exactly what I had thought.

Do enjoy.

The best tinned sardines and/or tuna I have ever had have come from either Portugal, or Spain; Ortiz produces some excellent tinned fish and similar products.

Tomorrow is Easter. We failed to get Peeps, the finest of sugar-coated-sugar confections. We'll have to settle for home-made root beer, slow cooked spiral cut brown sugar ham, naturally flavored gummy bears and Jelly Bellies.

The upvote was for the ham....

As for the peeps, uh, no. Ever try the blue ones? At our gatherings whatever color they were they only ended up getting microwaved which of course fetched exasperated bannings from the kitchen of the host.
