I like what I'm hearing about the 5.4" iPhone for sure. I just got rid of my 11 for the SE2 and I am loving the size. My only issue is I've had problems with OLED (on the XS Max), and I'm not sure I'll be able to have an OLED display.

I'll likely order it, and if I can handle the display, I'll keep it and pass the SE2 to my granddaughter as I planned. If not, I'm gonna stick with my SE2 because I am loving the size!

Though i like the SE2 i may consider the 5.4" iPhone 12 if the price is under £700 in the UK, I think the SE2 will hold it's value well this year so could be used to knock a decent chunk of the 5.4" iPhone 12 come later this year.

In general, I think all iPhones hold value in some form, but I don’t for-see the SE necessarily just ‘holding value‘ for any particular reason, when that particular phone will have to appeal to a certain person who wants a 4.7 inch display, being that really doesn’t have a lot of competitive technology offered from the higher tiered iPhones. That would probably be the main selling point for this phone and obviously it’s condition, Plus if it’s discounted from other retailers, that will just drop the value even more if it can be had for under ~$399.

I mean, the 128gb iPhone SE costs $450 and the 128gb iPhone 12 (5.4 inch) is expected to costs $650. It has a lot better value for the price. The difference between both is huge. OLED display, 5G, dual cameras, A14 chip, bigger display on a smaller size, new design, smaller notch and bezels, Face ID, probably better battery life, etc
It's up to you to decide what you want to buy. First wait for the actual price. Lots of "what is expected" is coming straight out of someone's behind. And then you decide whether the added features are worth the added cost. Different for everyone.

Am I the only one who likes to eat dry chocolate pudding mix out of a vintage tennis shoe?
I hope the answer is "yes". But I know it's not :-(

To illustrate the point, the (expected) lack of Touch ID on the 12 would be a downside. And the (I'm assuming) heavier weight would be one too. Measured against the quality of the camera (a little better, probably) and the chip, and the size, it's a lot closer to break-even, and the SE might even be better. With the (expected) price difference, it's a no-brainer for the SE instead of waiting.
