... If you did then it would be a miracle as Apple themselves have said no stores have them yet.

So if you think about it, no one has reviewed it yet (they have all reviewed 1.8GHz/128GB SSD). Now I just hope it doesn't suck (in other words, have the the same problems that Rev.A did.) Hopefully the nvidia chip is what makes all the difference.

Sorry, I checked again today and it did indeed say 128SSD, I misread.

Keep waiting.

Who knows. I'm seriously thinking we won't see one anytime soon.
Unfortunately I can't even order one because I am moving. I don't need to give fedex/ups a reason to f' things up any more than they normally do!

A friend of mine got his MBP 2.53 for $1,880  which made me think again about my MBA rev B. Shall I wait for it to come (hopefully with the free SSD) or shall I get a similar MBP?

I have a 3.06 iMac since I do my thesis work mostly at home, but I had to get rid of my rev A MBA so now I am thinking again even though I do not really need a second computer but I just like to have my laptop for sofa surfing and stuff even though I am doing most of that on my HTC Diamond when I am on the go.

According to what I told by Apple, your product will always ship on the specified date if not earlier, so this is making it a bit fishy that maybe they do not have the 120 GB HDD ready yet and they are avoiding to give you a free SSD upgrade

I still have a week of waiting but I hope you confirm the FREE SSD :D

One more week before my MBA comes too! (next Friday)
I hope someone can confirm what they get! I will be sure to confirm mine of what I get. I'm so excited! :D

Yeah, please let us know as soon as they ship. Not only am I impatient to receive mine, I'm super curious to see when the delay will end.

Also something not so settling. When I originally ordered the MBA (12/4), they immediately charged my bank card, but when I checked this morning(12/10), the charge had returned. I've never had this happen with an online order before so I called them just to make sure my order was dandy. They said everything was in order and they wont charge me until the product ships (for me 12/26). Anyone else go through something similar?

Some people have said they do this to see if you actually have enough credit on your card for the purchase. I don't know how much truth there is to that.

Yep, I ordered the MBA with a printer. The printer came within a couple of days and was charged on this month's credit card. Since my MBA didn't come yet, it hasn't been charged yet. It will probably be charged on my next bill.

It's true. They do a "pre-authorization" on your credit card which freezes that amount and then a "post-authorization" to charge that freeze when it ships.
The problem is a pre-authorization only lasts for a few weeks so that is why it was returned.

Update on my order: Shipping date has been changed to Dec 19th, delivers dec 24th...

This is a bit fishy. They pushed back the shipping dates once again. I doubt whether they will have the machines ready by the new year.

I found something interesting on the Taiwan Online Apple Store. In the MacBook Air order page they said that (in a line of red text) the 1.6GHz model hasn't passed through electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test. Is that a reason why they've been delaying this? The URL for the web page: http://store.apple.com/tw/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_air?mco=MTE2NjA

Well that is the first explanation for such delays. What were they doing taking orders for these things then......oooops someone pulled the trigger a little early. If I was one of you guys I would call apple, stating that you have been stuffed around and that you would like to cancel your order as you need a computer asap, they can upgrade u to free to ssd or give you a really big discount on the upgrade. Worth a try.

Someone should definitely give Apple a ring if the order doesn't ship on the expected date or if your order is delayed.
If one of those two situations happens to me, Apple will be getting a call from me next week on the 19th... Also, I will gladly share my experience.

My only fear I'd that the sales rep would be like " okay, your order is cancelled. Thanks for shipping Apple. *click*. K owing Apple, it's not too farfetched.

There is no 120GB SSD.

I would love to see this happen. 1.86ghz models shipped out with the 120GB HDD. Unfortunately, I still have to wait to order/buy because I'm moving and I don't want to give UPS/FedEx any reason to **** things up more than they usually do.

Baaaaaaaaaad news for you guys :(

My MBA 1.6/120GB HDD just shipped today and I would get it Monday.

It is kind of good news and bad news at the same time. Good news to know that the HDD is available now and bad news since there is NO FREE SSD upgrade anymore!

BTW, it was supposed to ship on the 16th and delivers on the 19th!

Ahhh lucky!!! I had a long conversation today with apple customer relations which tried very hard to get me the upgrade, but apple store support said no no no :( he even had his boss talk to them and the answer was still no.
