That would mean iOS 15/16 preinstalled so nope. I was originally planning on waiting but only so I could get a refurb 2021 discounted. Mini-LED isn't make or break for me.

In any case, there's nothing stopping me from buying a new Pro if I really wanted it. Besides, there's a Pro 9.7 and 6th gen in the household that have gotten quite laggy on iOS 15 and are begging for upgrades.
If you’re looking for iOS 14, I am not sure. I bought Apple refurbished iPad Pro 2020 3 weeks ago (for my father) and it has 15.1 pre installed. But old stock may still available.

On the other thread, I shared that 15.3.1 is running very smooth on M1 11”. I may stop at this version, unless there is severe security issues / bugs that stopping me for my usage.

I already bought a 2021 iPad Pro 11" back in November. Seems to be good timing since it was pre-installed with 14.3 and I was still able to update to 14.8.1.

Best Buy had $150 off at the time and I figured if I wanted to stay on 14, I can't wait for deeper discounts.

Looks like you have both the 13" MBP and the 16" MBP. Any reason you have both? And what do you use on the iPad front now that you've sold your 12.9 IPP?
I am retired, but Mon-Fri I manage my retirement stock portfolio. I like using an iPad app that lets me track, trade etc but also lets me stream a couple of financial shows like CNBC, Bloomberg, etc within the app. Thats what I ran on the 12.9 IPP, and likewise I still run it on the M1. The 16" is used as my primary machine, doing research, keeping up with news, etc. I also clip news items from the internet and store them as pdf files in Apple notes, I do that mostly on the 16" through the day while I am doing my research work. Once they are in Notes, I use the 11" IPP to go into Notes where I can annotate them, highlight important information, etc. I use the IPP for basic iPad stuff as well, it has cellular so I often grab it when going out for coffee or lunch.

Just curious, if 12.9 was stayed at desk, why didn’t you just use MacBook?

I have no current use for a MBP

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook with Windows 10 hooked up to a tri-monitor setup. This is my daily business workstation.

I also have a Mac Mini (2014) hooked up to a 32” tv that I use for my personal (Apple based) workstation.

I have the 12.9 for portability and adaptability, and when it’s not at my desk it is often used for viewing Netflix etc in bed.

I use a Logitech MX Keys keyboard for all three devices. So it all works quite nicely for me

I have the Apple iPad Air (4th Generation - 256GB) and the latest iPad Pro 5th Generation (256GB) and yes I prefer a larger display with ProMotion and the new screen tech especially for streaming content / movies plus the Pro has more ram. I do like the size of the iPad Air however it lacks 5G mobile network functionality of the iPad Pro and its screen is LCD. There are pros and cons to both, however I frequently run Geekbench on both version with new public beta software to see the differences.
