For any other company, this would be a new low. For Microsoft though, it isn't really. Having the lowest price isn't always the most important thing. If it was, I'd be eating McDonalds food for every meal, every day.

Just to be a jerk, McDonalds is *far* from the cheapest meal you could every day, but I agree with your point.

I too rather wonder what software Windows PCs supposedly come with that Macs don't.

Yes, most PC makers throw on a lot of junk, but most of it just that - junk. A professor of mine had a new HP notebook and I couldn't believe how much crapware was on it.

Yea...im still bitter about the loss of Firewire but lack of Software...wtf. Its one thing to say Software community...but out of the start up, the avg. thing a Mac buyer gets is Office/iWork and thats all they will ever need...
