Free memory usually shows me with 20+-40+% memory available, so I usually don't need to free memory. Occasionally I get below 20% and I free it up, but as I said, usually not.

I can confirm that the battery level indicator will be gone in version 1.5. I got this today:

Hi,

Yes, the battery level will be removed in version 1.5. However, version 1.5 will contain a Game Mode that will allow freeing more than 35 MB of memory and the crashing/hanging/resetting problem when memory was less than 4 MB will be fixed. If Apple allows us to show the battery level, we'll add it back in.

Thanks.

RecessionApps Support.

We have already know that. It is mentioned in another thread and in this one at several spots.
Although, thanks for sharing, I had not seen that letter before and didn't know there was a chance of them adding it back in.
This app will be extremely useful once Apple enables apps to have the ability to run in the background.

Yeah, I was confirming the claim made that it was going to happen. They got back to me this morning.

This app is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. There will be ZERO utility to it once the battery level is removed.

Depends on what your definition of scam is.

If your definition of scam is "The loss of one feature in a program", then sure, its an ABSOLUTE SCAM.

If you go by the actual definition of scam, then you would see it is, in fact, not a scam. The app works. I used to have to restart my iPod all the time, but I no longer have to thanks to Free Memory.

This app isn't a scam. It really does free up memory, even closes out safari for you. I haven't hadd to restart after installing an app since I got Free Memory. I open it up after I install and free memory and it jumps from around 4 or 5 MB to over 20, and my new app runs super smooth.

I tried not using FM and not restarting and the freshly installed app crashed after a few seconds of being open (I think it was Days of Thunder if your wondering). I then used FM and the app ran just fine.

Maybe it doesn't do anything for some of you, but it helps me out a lot. Its much faster than having to restart after an install...
