I can’t do the two-thumbs typing. And I’ve tried. So I’m strictly a one-finger typist on a phone.
iPhone 15 will be introduced in September, so this thread is meaningless. If you need an iPhone now, buy an iPhone now.So in the past little while I’ve had a chance to see the 14 and 14 Plus in hand. I was able to see the 14 at The Mobile Shop at the Superstore in Brockville, Ontario where I live. I like the size, being a bit smaller than my current 8+ while still offering a slightly larger screen than what I have now.
But this week a customer came into work looking for a case for his new iPhone 14 Plus, and so I had a chance to actually handle the phone wherein previously I had not even seen it before.
In size it is essentially identical to my 8+ (only 2mm. taller) and so it felt almost exactly like handling my current phone with the only difference being the flat edges as opposed to the round ones on my 8.
I quite liked the 14 Plus and now find myself leaning toward it—same size as I have now, but much bigger display. I have also decided to wait until the 15s are introduced when there‘ll be good deals on the 14s.
Now the question becomes choice of Blue or Midnight. It doesn’t really matter once you put it in a case. I will likely go with a clear or Apple silicone case like I have now. I had an Otterbox case on my 8, but I found it too bulky. And since I’m careful with my phones and never dropped them or been rough with them a clear or silicone case would be fine.
At the beginning of the thread I said I was not desperate for a new phone. I said it was something I was considering nonetheless.iPhone 15 will be introduced in September, so this thread is meaningless.
Not being “desperate” is one thing. But to speak at December 2022 about a phone that will be introduced in September 2023 is another thing. At the beginning of the thread I said I was not desperate for a new phone. I said it was something I was considering nonetheless.
I have a 14 Plus and I love it. Screen realestate is great, feels a lot like a personal computer in some ways. Writing emails for example feels great on this bigger screen, rarely do you feel it’s cramped for what you are doing. And it is plenty fast as in faster than a mobile quad-core intel laptop from just a few years ago.At the beginning of the thread I said I was not desperate for a new phone. This isn’t meant to be an arguement. I was considering it over the holidays because there were good deals on, but there should be just as good if not better deals when the 15 is introduced and I can afford to wait. Not being “desperate” is one thing.
