So nobody else uses the terminal as an ftp client? I don't even remember how I found it, I just remember that I was pissed off at comcast's web-based upload for their personal sites. The first gui client that I tried didn't work, so I used the terminal. It isn't even that hard to use.

I've mostly used the text-based client on other systems so using the one available through the Terminal application isn't a huge deal, but when I need to create a whole folder structure for a new area on my website, nothing is easier than a GUI-based client.

I've been using CuteFTP, due to its popularity on Windows but it has a strange bug and doesn't always switch from text to binary automatically. Cyberduck looks good to me since it will handle Japanese, as well as, secure connections.

For some things I do, for other things I think Cyberduck is better.

But if I use the tar command to make a large gzipped archive and want to upload that to a ftp-server I usually do both in Terminal, not bothering with Cyberduck. (<- This is a fairly common scenario, e.g. when I upload new genealogy pages for to my girlfriend's site.)

When I'm tuning a lot of web pages (php/inc/xhtml/css/etc) and need to upload one or a few files at the time with regular intervals I find dragging them right from TextWranglers drawer over to the Cyberduck window is easier... ;)
