Yeah, full frame is clearly miles ahead of anything else ...

I got 85% correct. The 4/3 vs. APS-C are the ones that gave me trouble, which is exactly what I expected.

Viewed on a Dell U2413 display.

...there is a noticeable difference between APS-C and FF. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but the images pop more (not just talking about DOF). They seem to capture more detail (un-related to MP), and there seems to be more 'depth' to the images. I will definitely be making the upgrade to FF if I can ever afford it.

Well stated. Those are my observations as well.

Well, not quite what I was saying/meaning lol ;) I'm only an amateur myself, and a bad one at that so I can't really critique others ;)

What I meant was that a number of people on these forums aren't necessarily aware/clued up about cameras, and just think that they can buy a top notch camera and instantly get pro looking pictures.

I didn't mean that the photos were taken by amateurs. I used "amateurish" to connote that they are not good photos.

Here's a very good example of why I like FF. My style tend to involve shallow DOF, at all focal lengths. At the moment, FF is the best way to get it.

If you're looking for broader DOF, and need a boost on your tele, then APS-C is a better choice.

There used to be a benefit for low-light photography as well, but this gap is rapidly closing, if not already.

Thats a good example but I think everyone tends to use shallow DOF as their "Style" lately...not a dig but you only get like a stop, maybe a stop and half faster with FF...I mean yes I prefer full frame whenever I can get it believe me but yeah. I will say I love the shallow DOF on FF at wide angles, it reminds me of medium format and IMAX, especially in video.
