I'm a university student and live with my parents, rarely use my CC anyway :p Yeah I guess if you're living off on your own though it would really suck, no food and what not. But did they charge it or was it just pending? I would think that the CC could cancel the pending ones couldn't they?

Yeah I don't carry balances, I just use my credit card then pay it off once weekly to get the 2% cash back.

Edit: Never mind should've read that you said capitalone, I didn't know they offered a 2% cash back card. May I ask which one is it

I like that. That's a good call. I wonder if any CC have that deal in Canada... probably not. I don't like the idea of buying a Mac on credit but that makes a lot of sense.

Yeah, CapitalOne Canada has the same deal. I think CapitalOne is one of the biggest card issuers in Canada too... just buy it and pay it off in a week, you still get the cash back rewards, and never pay interest :)

No, I only use CapitalOne Venture. I travel internationally every other week and they're the only card that doesn't charge the 3% foreign transaction fee.

Oh you meant you are rewarded in miles equivalent to 2% cash back . However they are pretty nice when it comes to waiving foreign transaction fees. They're the only CC company out there with more than 2 cards that waive foreign transaction fees.

Hmm, I didn't know the Venture does 2% cashback. However they are pretty nice when it comes to waiving foreign transaction fees. They're the only CC company out there with more than 2 cards that waive foreign transaction fees.

Yeah I've been with them for many years... the cash back on the diff venture cards they offer in the "any purchase" category varies from 0.25% to 2.5%, but 2% is the most on a venture card without the annual fee.. not worth 40 bux a year for an extra 0.5%.
