That's actually exactly what Apple did with Sidecar, MacOS on iPad without touchscreen but pencil support (actually some touch gesture are allowed, including a limited form of scrolling)Actually, it is a valid argument. Apple isn’t going to release macOS on a touchscreen device then tell people just plug a mouse and keyboard in it. If the touchscreen doesn’t work properly, they’re not going to implement it.
I’m not saying there aren’t people here that would still make use of and even want a halfway functioning touchscreen, but this is not something Apple is going to release.
