Funny, I don't ever recall hearing anything about Great White sharks being in the Galapagos, even after I did a scuba diving liveaboard there.
The primary shark species that we were on the lookout for were Scalloped Hammerheads (schooling), Whale, and Galapagos White Tip Reef. The only species mentioned as a 'seal hunter' was a cetacian ... ie, some transiting Killer Whales.
