I don't really believe on these rumours... Even tough it is a commom desire to have the best and the most potent gadget of the category, unless you're going to run full photoshop in your phone, I don't see why 2 Ghz and 3 Gigs of RAM. Sure, would be magic, but unnecessary and it would make the phone more expansive... I like about the screen however. Battery information is needed.
Oh, and they should tame the oportunity to make a premium built phone.

its still early and this is just one rumor.
But I'm sure the improvements will be better than the iPhone 5S or whatever Apple makes next year.

Why not? Computers get more and more powerful. Same with phones. Who knows what phones will be like in 10 years that a 3GHz quad core processor will be necessary.

Yeah, I know that. The thing is, right now, we don't have anything to make use of that. Not even Infinity Blade 2 or Real Racing 2 would make proper use of that. Right now, having a phone like that would only have the use to be able to show off "oh I am so fuc*ing cool! my phone is faster than me!".
But, anyway...

Maybe not on the iPhone but I could run a PS2 emulator pretty easily with those specs on Android. The more potent they make the phones the better the software can get. This is what urks me about Apple, it seems like they want to give old phones updates so bad that iOS has to be watered down. Now with Android doing split screen app running, and video players in the corner of the screen I'm starting to feel left behind. My 4S works fine, if Apple wants to update the software beyond my phones capability thats fine by me as long as my phone still works, obviously minor updates and bug fixing are more then welcome but if my phone cant do picture in picture and the 5 can then by all means make it work for the 5 owners. Instead we have to keep the 3GS owners happy...lol...
