No disrespect because I could only wish for such good performance, but where I live a day is 24 hours. I'm up at 5 AM and in bed by 1 AM. So, your phone wouldn't make it for me either. ;)

I am curious though, do you have GPS, bluetooth, and wifi turned on all day? How many email accounts do you sync? Do you only have one phone number? Is battery save mode turned on? Do you use the always on display? How many bluetooth devices do you use at a time? What widgets do you use? I've needed to use two calander apps because I can't find one that lets me have two different widgets with different info on each. How much data do you use a month?

You look like you use it a fair bit, so I am just trying to see how hard you push it compared to me. Cause I am at 2hr 49m and I am already at 82% on my S7. Chrome at 5%, screen at 3%, OS and system at 2% and play, idle, live mail, and standby at 1%. Nothing else. I charge it at least 2 to 3 times a day.

I need my 7hours sleep, so I am usually in bed before midnight unless it's weekend. What we generally mean by a day is from waking up until bedtime.

I have 4 email accounts syncing, 2 for work and 2 personal.
I have Bluetooth on most of the day, usually forget to turn it off.
WiFi is on all day no matter what.
Yes, 1 phone number.
I sometimes turn on Power Save, the screenshots I posted show when I do and when I don't. I use power save on days when I know I have a lot of work and may be home late and still want to watch series on it when I get to bed.
In terms of Bluetooth I connect it to my car and my loudspeaker at home when gyming.
I use 4 widgets, they are the long rectangular Samsung Time and Date widget, News & Weather widget by Google, Samsung Music Player widget and S Planner Calendar view widget.
Yes when I'm not in Power Saving I have Always On Display set to On.
I use around 20-30GB of data a month.
I have GPS on Power Save unless I need to use Google Maps, but my car has SatNav built-in, so I barely use SatNav in my phone.

One app I don't use is Chrome, that web browser was never built for a device that depends on a Battery, it is such a power hog, I always disable Chrome when I get a new Android. I stopped using Chrome on all my Mobile devices,my S7 Edge has it Disabled and iPad Air 2 doesn't have it at all.

I use Samsungs web browser with the AdBlock Fast AdBlocking plugin, best experience :)

I completely agree, and that's my biggest problem with it and most people who extend their batteries by crippling their phones. Why should I have to do that? Why should I have to keep chargers everywhere I go? I want to go to disneyland and be there all day, while using my phone, and not worry a bit about it!

Yeah I just can't get on board with leaving chargers everywhere. Maybe I'm being petty and unreasonable, but why should one have to do that? I like to be out and about and use my phone to snap pictures, send snaps, etc and I hate to worry about battery life when I'm out and doing things. The other day I was driving and streaming apple music to my car stereo via bluetooth (s7 edge) and the battery was dropping 1% every few minutes, and the screen was off... Unbelievable! My iPhone can go way longer while streaming without dropping a percentage point. Oh well :)
You're not being petty or unreasonable at all. It is good that you know how you want to use your smart phone and understand the pros and cons of your options.

From what I have read the Snapdragon 835 had a lot of Samsung involvement in its design and performs comparably to the Exynos version. But not quite up to that exynos level of battery life, which I've read is on a par with iPhone 7 Plus's.

I'm not sure what your situation is but if there is an option to purchase without incurring a restocking fee if you return, you could try and see if the battery life meets your needs.

The phone itself is really amazing and I don't hesitate to recommend it based on features and performance but I myself don't know how the battery will hold up for you.

Finished work, early finish, it's 2:36pm and I'm at 90% was 100% at 7am, bearing on mind that I havent used my phone much seeing I had work to do... make that 89% ;)

LOL. 2% usage. Yes, you barely used it if at all. If you used it some the battery would drain much faster. I've attached mine. Been unplugged since around 7:30 or so. and not hardly used at all today, and it's now 4:42pm and down to 63%. Not great compared to my iP7+.

Turn off Google Now feeds and Location History. Dont leave your games running in the background.
Usually the culprits for quick battery drain during standby.
Nope, don't use any of those or play games.

My note 5 gets 5 days of standby and about 15 hrs battery life..my 7plus is no where near that./shrug
hahaha. My Note 5 didn't even come close to my S7 Edge in battery life, and I for sure doubt 5 days. No way with that phone. Maybe if you never touch it.

Basically everywhere here has a restocking fee, even if purchased without a contract, or even unlocked models. I'm curious about the S8! The S7 Edge is still good looking, but that S8...wow! We'll see around iPhone announcement/launch time :).

For me: 8:58pm, 59% battery remaining, 13h 20m on battery. SOT is 2h32m (seems pretty paltry). Didn't use snapchat too much today (lol), and off wifi most of the day. At home now and connected to wifi. I know SOT isn't the best indicator - my screen could just be on with me staring at it lol. I don't quite get everyone's fascination with this measurement!

Now, if I were to have streamed music today, this would be a completely different story!

I use the apple smart battery case with my iPhone 7 - I don't know if the Galaxy has one - and don't worry about battery.

Sure, the phone is fatter and heavier but I always think of it as having 200% battery when full and just charge every couple of days or so.
