This new watch has an ECG feature? Is it any better than the Apple Watch version? (the latter kept giving me 'inconclusive' results because I have a faster than normal resting BPM, which Apple's ECG couldn't figure out.)

Yes it does. It seems to pick up my ECG every time.

We also get blood pressure monitoring which I believe the Apple Watch is still missing.

For me the extra functionality is a bonus but I am just loving the round form factor, physical rotating bezel and my basic needs of accurate fitness tracking, replyable notifications and 2 day battery life with everything on.

I like the Samsung round display and rotating bezel as well (I wasn't as fond of the Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear relying so much on gestures) and am surprised Apple still makes a square watch in this day and age.

So far the Galaxy watch series is the only new product from Samsung that still gains my interest (I haven't been fond of their phones since One UI replaced TouchWiz Nature UX and became as large as tablets or remote controls)

I'm still using the first Galaxy Watch (2018) that is fully-functional even when paired to my 7-year-old Galaxy S5. I just love how it looks, how it lacks a leather band (I'm vegan), and the rotating bezel isn't as resistive as the one on my Gear S3. I didn't like the way the Galaxy Watch 2 looked, though. I also wasn't as fond of later Gear Fit models since the first Fit just had a nicer look to it (the later Fits seem so cheap and plasticy looking)

Haven't seen a display for the Galaxy Watch 3 though, but it seems to be a good time to look.

Took a ton of generations of Samsung watches to even get Heart Rate monitoring working 100%. The Gear S couldn't get a reading over 99 bpm, and the Gear S2 and S3 Classic randomly failed to auto HR properly. It was the Galaxy Watch (2018) that finally had proper heart rate monitoring in my experience. I don't know if they ever got spO2 yet.
