After 30 min of game centering i realize apple is really stupid for not adding Live chat to GC.
 
So... does your Gamecenter Apple ID have to match with the one on iTunes? (assume so...) Bummer, husband is gonna have to play as Jodie-girl? He might be a bit put off ;)
 
VOIP API was in the GameKit for the games, so if the dev's used it, then you can have live chat.

i would think that apple assumed people would start off just adding their real friends so no need for messaging when you can text/email/im/etc from the iPhone easy enough, probably didn't count on people giving their username out to randoms on a forum they don't even know.....

Well they will know soon what's going on and learn that people want this feature.

Just hopefully soon.

Actually I think they might be counting on it. People will connect a lot easier when there's little commitment. You're not going to get messaged at all and your "Friends" won't know any of your personal details. Then later, when everyone's used to it they can add more social features.
