Quite a few people posting videos of the new Airs on Youtube but basically none playing games yet. If you spot one, be nice and post it here. :)

On the 11" model, can anyone tell me what the framerates are for Call of Duty Black Ops and/or Crysis 2? I am not sure if the new Air gpu is capable in playing these while using the bootcamp partition. It would be sweet if the new Airs can reach 25-30 FPS at near native resolution.

My 13" will be delivered tomorrow, I even bought an superdrive today in store so I can put Windows on it and run some tests this weekend. I'll start with testing some OS X games though, first of all the steam games + WoW + Eve.

When I get back from work, I'll try the ultimate 13'' with the source games and see how it runs.

For those of you willing to try WoW can we get a range of FPS? For example while standing in Orgrimmar/SW in prime time, in a Isle of Conquest/AV BG, and then solo'ing? Also remember to include video quality and resolution.

Thanks!

I have steam games and also SC2. Should I try them out in OSX? Or we talking bootcamping with win7?

I would suggest OSX because the Intel HD 3000 does better in that environment. If you are then tell us what settings and at what points in the game and game size.

Example: 3v3 mid game low settings 32 FPS

Playing TF2 on low was perfectly playable, downloading SC2 now. Crysis 2 prolly wont run too well on this computer.

sorry but IMHO your not a "gamer" if your using any apple laptop. They all suck. If your a gamer you either having a "gaming laptop", which i use lightly b.c most laptops suck for gaming, or you have a full blown custom build PC.

How 'bout this: "People who play games on the MacBook Air chime in!!!"

Get over yourself. I play plenty of games, and they all play *JUST FINE* on the systems I have. I *SOLD* my Core i7-965 Extreme with Radeon 4870X2 and dual Raptors system because I realized that every game I actually play plays just fine on my lower end systems.

I'm wondering how gaming is under windows7, with games like batman arkham asylum and assassin's creed, also the windows experience index. But so far under OSX gaming seems good enough for casual play

I feel sorry for anyone who thought an ultraportable would offer anything more than 'casual' gaming.

Tbh I'm still tied between the new Airs and an M11X. By the time I can buy one The Old Republic will be out
