I guess all the scores have to be reset, and we can’t compare GeekBench 6 scores with GeekBench 7 scores, right?

Even so, this is a much welcomed update, with chips more and more focused on local AI, graphics and video encoding/decoding. Hopefully it will stay as the reference benchmark for a few years (including the M6 and M7 generations), so that we can see the huge improvements that come with the new chips and we feel the need to replace our Mac lol

I’m really curious about the M6 performance gains, or maybe the M6 is mostly about efficiency, lowering power consumption and heat generation.

The M7 is going to be a whole different beast, according to rumors.
