I ordered 01/25, expected delivery date was 02/03. So far no shipment notification. I just msged the seller, from what I have read here, I shouldn't expect a response anytime soon.

After sending two emails I finally got a response tonight from the seller. He apologized claiming that he was out of the country with no internet for the last week due to the death of a close friend, and that the band will ship in the next two days. Of course I don't buy it, my guess is either 1) he was waiting to get them in-hand from whatever shady source he has or 2) he's just extremely lazy. I suppose it doesn't matter, it's worth the wait at this price. Usually this behavior would be unacceptable with most ebay sellers but I guess he's getting a pass because it's a good deal LOL.

Not to rain on the parade, but I have to say that selling a brand-new $450 strap for $275, and this strap being manufactured by a company that almost never offers discounts of their own (certainly none that big), makes me go "hmmm". Maybe it's a pawn-shop arrangement like CEX. I don't know.

Anyway I almost bought a discounted used link bracelet from CEX, but decided I wanted a hassle-free experience and could afford to take the safe route, so I picked up a new one from Apple, even though it was more than I wanted to spend.

In any case, I really hope all of you get your shipment soon and it's the real deal, because it's a truly amazing strap. Putting it on for the first time is a great experience.

Someone is pilfering from an Apple Store.

So far everyone who has received a band from this seller has said they were authentic as advertised. When I get mine is there a way to verify that it is genuine? I know you can buy "1:1" clones from China but as far as I know they don't come in sealed Apple branded packaging. Does such a counterfeit even exist? A perfect 1:1 clone in a replica Apple box?

I'm pretty sure there is some markings on the inside of the clasp when opened that only the authentic OEM has.

Just got mine this morning. I can confirm it is 100% authentic. Mine came brand new in a sealed box with the markings inside the clasp. The interesting thing is that inside the FedEx package it was in a factory sealed padded envelope with a part number label. The part number is different than the one on the box, and a quick Google search would seem to indicate this is a warranty replacement part. This is further evidenced by the fact that the box is plain white without the usual retail markings. Regardless the band is genuine, brand new and the price was right . The link band is awesome and so far I'm loving it!

Wow...great investigative work! And now this makes sense why it is authentic AND cheap.

Received mine today as well. Exact same as Cogsworth described. Great band and couldn't be happier!
