Why are you participating in Third Party Bands threads when you obviously feel you should only use Apple made bands? 99% of the bands outside of apple are going to be the same "Cheap Chinese crap" as you phrased it.

Take the crusade elsewhere. We are looking for good deals on bands for our overpriced Apple Watches. I am personally done responding to you because the conversation is going nowhere.

Being your new to Macrumors less than three weeks, its evident in your responses are sophomoric. It's how forums are. And your incorrect again, I never once said I use Apple bands. That's a farce and blatant mis quote.

And I suggest you revisit the forum rules, you can't tell another forum member to leave or go elsewhere. But in hindsight, judging from your posts, you struggle to understand that.

Responding to clear the air. I can't remember my old Macrumors login. Been visiting Macrumors for a long time. I mainly started posting on the forums again to interact with users on the Apple Watch Series 2 Preorder threads for Best Buy and Target.

Also, stating that I suggested you "leave or go elsewhere" is quite humorous. I simply suggested you take your crusade against Moko somewhere else. All of these bands, outside of apple, are pretty much all made from the same places and using the same materials.

Now that the air is cleared, I will go back to ignoring you.

Your not ignoring me by responding, poor reality of irony.

And your so far fetched wrong, it's blinding. Read the bolded print above from your nonsense post.

They are far from being the made from the same materials and quality alike. You honestly believe your own misconceptions. There is a huge difference in the texture, feel, thickness and overall quality. Made
From the same places? What does that even mean? Made in China?

Please reply again...to clear the air of your fallacy of a post.

Nice thread, let's keep it clean.

JeTECH black leather loop band

Pro:

- ~$20, so cheap
- genuine leather
- looks as good as the Apple version (can't tell the difference).
- magnet is extremely strong.

Neutral: it feels tougher, aka not as soft, the apple band. But not in an uncomfortable way, it's a very comfortable band. If you want it to be softer, a leather conditioner will soften it up.

Cons: Not really any here I can think of.

Leather can be manipulated to feel softer or tougher based on how you treat it. For example, I put mink oil on my blue apple leather iPhone case. This made the color a bit darker, but waterproofed it and seems to prevent scratching. From past experience with leather boots, mink oil can make a worn boot look brand new. Also, if the boot is stiff and uncomfortable, you use a conditioner.

I say all this because the Apple version of the leather band is very nice, a little softer, but that's it's. The JeTECH is genuine leather, looks just as nice, and the magnet may be stronger. You can manipulate the leather feel and even color, but you can get back the extra $139 you pay for the apple band. Leather wears, and with the price difference, you can buy 8 different leather jetech bands for the same price.

I'd second this - Have a black one and have been wearing it quite a lot and gave my mom a 38 mm blue leather loop from JeTech as well - stellar product for a fraction of the price so far

17 bands.
3 apple sport bands ($160) and 14 various 3rd parties ($226)

I ordered the leather band with my watch. Yeah the Apple leather is nicer but not sure quite it is 7.5 times nicer than the other leather bands I have. YMMV

The 3rd parties I have dealt with have been very responsive to issues.

I had a slight issue with BSCstore. on the milanese band One of the tiny links was broken. I contacted them just to let them know and that a replacement band wasn't necessary..
They harassed me for a couple of weeks to ensure i was happy.

The 3rd parties know there is competition in their ranks and seem to have stepped up their game to ensure their customers are happy.

If the choice is between those two, let me make it easy for you. Moko is no longer selling Milanese Loop bands for Apple Watch. This was confirmed to me by an email to them directly.

The 3 top Milanese Loop sellers, on Amazon, are from Penom, BRG, and top4cus.

Does anyone know, out of those 3, which is best? There is also one from JETech but I have it and it isn't very good. It mainly snags on fabric but the magnet is strong.

Thanks for the reply, but i can actually order the MOKO Band from Amazon for 7$, there is a chinese seller selling it still on amazon shipping from China, i contacted him via email he said it will take about 7-10 to get to the USA, i dont mind waiting.

But im still not sure if i should order the MOKO or just get the PENOM from Amazon, i haven not seen the Penom in person so i dont know if its high quality or what it feels like, however i owned The Moko version for close to 7 months and it was just an excellent all around band, now i bought the series 2 so i need a new milanese loop since i sold the MOKO MIlanese loop with the Apple watch last week,

I already have the new series 2 , currently have the Apple sports band on it, but i definitley want the Milanese, i just dont know which version to order, the MOKO from the chinese seller on Amazon and wait 7-10 days, or buy the PENOM from amazon with free 2 days shipping and get it on Monday with free 2 day prime shipping.

If you think about what you are saying, you are suggesting you would buy a Moko Milanese band from a seller, besides Moko, from someone else in China? With this not being Amazon Prime, I would think this would be problematic on returns/exchanges if it wasn't good quality. Also, how can you ensure it is actually a Moko band if they aren't the ones selling it?

Moko claims these bands are not being produced and will no longer be sold. It appears they have also stopped their sport bands and only have a couple of bands still in production.

I think you, and others, would be better off with a different band from a seller with Amazon Prime. Besides the fast shipping, I can always get Amazon to step in when I have a Prime order. Is this the case with sellers that don't offer Prime?

I am very curious about the quality differences between Penom vs BGR vs top4cus. We may have to just buy them, test them ourselves, and return the ones we don't like.

I agree I just placed an order for the riega one using Amazon prime and hopefully it'll be a good quality one should be delivered Tuesday

Please keep us updated. Also, from the reviews, even the good bands have bad batches. So it could take a return to get a good one.

I had to get a second OULUOQI link bracelet because the first wouldn't fit the Stainless Steel Series 2. The quality still isn't perfect but it looks nice. It is a $69.99 band and not sure if it is worth that. I definitely wouldn't spend $450 for the Apple one though...

Also, if you like nice looking bands, this Steel Link Ceramic from Moko is very nice. While a bit expensive at $39.99, it definitely catches the eye. I have the black ceramic with Silver. It is also available in white ceramic with Silver for the same price.

I the links are a bit big so I have to wear it slightly loose. But not loose enough the watch locks itself. Also, the tool to remove links is a PAIN. but once you get them off, you should be good. Just be patient with it.

I took a look at the link bracelet from that brand as well but I personally think the Milanese loop looks better than the link bracelet regardless of if it's a replica or the original $450 Apple link bracelet I just personally prefer the Milanese loop

Will certainly let you know if the riega is as high quality as the MOKO I previously had for my first gen Apple Watch

The link bracelet is probably nicer in person believe it or not. There is just something really classy about it. I do like having both though :) That Milanese Loop is something I fell in love with when the AW was first introduced. Wish they were innovating on more new bands too.

Also, not sure if you saw the edited portion of my post. Go back and look at it again with the link to the Ceramic Link bracelet from Moko. It is another really nice looking option that goes well with my Silver Stainless Steel Series 2.

Also, I have had bad luck getting cheaper black bands. It is one of the reasons I went with Silver over the Space Grey Stainless Steel (whatever they call it). Mine always had the black scratch off or wear off within 3 to 5 months on other watches.

I ordered the BRG Tech black milanese loop for my 38mm SB SS, so far i'm happy with it's quality. I have no other frame of reference yet, but to me it seems like the Penom, JETech, or top4cus brands would be 99% the same anyways.

apearntley the Jetech is inferior to the Penom and Moko as far as quality is concerned so to answer your question, No, they are not all the same.

My god, what a bunch of thread detailers you are. I should probably have started a wiki, rather than asking the unruly MR angry mob to partake in a civilised internet experiment. Oh well, I tried. Anyone who cares about the thread, it works really well to ignore Relentless whatever and to up vote any actual pro con posts. Then watch the thread this way: Most Liked Posts

Thread starter out, thanks for the pro/con posts!

It is really funny when someone thinks they can make their own rules on a website that they don't own. Heres an idea... go start your own Forums somewhere and you can have whatever rules you want. We are having a great conversation here.

Be aware, MOKO will NOT back any of their products. Horrendous customer service. This is widespread, not a local opinion. I would rather spend the extra money for quality and support.
This is wrong. Got a yellow sport band with a faulty lug and they sent a new one without the necessity to send back the broken one

I generally stick to Apple bands, but when I changed from 42mm to 38mm I found Apple are no longer selling the royal blue sports band which is my favourite colour.

Because of this, I bought a cheap one from Amazon (MoKo) and it's 99% as good as my original sports bands and pretty much indistinguishable from them

No it's not. Your experience may vary. Mine was poor. I stated My opinion of the service received and it was abysmal. And I deemed it necessary to share with other forum members. Their quality is garbage.
