Like the OP, I also haven't been able to completely nail the Mavericks dock 100% with cDock. So this is pretty helpful imo.

Also, does anyone know how to make the dock black? Here's my black dock back on Mountain Lion:

never tried to mimick mavericks dock myself, not a fan of that 'shelf'. mine looks like snow leopard but borderless
