Apple refurb store is hands down one of, if not the best place to look for used Apple products considering the 1-year warranty. I have seen a few iPad Pros on there lately. That being said, I have given Amazon's "renewed" program another shot over the last week and have been pleasantly surprised. I was in the same boat of which iPad Pro to get. Ordered a 2018 iPad Pro 11 512GB with cellular for $799. It arrives tomorrow. If it's anything like the renewed iPhone 11 Pro I bought (same Amazon seller) I will be one happy camper. Phone was in brand new condition. MacBook Pro had a few signs of wear, but they sent me a model that was higher than the one I actually ordered. Very satisfied.

I just bought a dirt cheap iPad Pro 2018 off eBay from authorised seller and couldn’t be happier. It’s in mint condition. I had an iPad Air 3 and always had this niggling feeling of it not being the best, I always wanted the edge to edge screen and pro design.

The 2020 model I had zero interest in. I don’t care about the camera and liDar scanner and wasn’t willing to fork up the money for it.

miniLEDs are currently much more expensive than Oled and will most likely appear in smaller devices like the Apple Watch first and even that won’t happen anytime soon so we won’t see that in an iPad until years from now. It mostly likely is just gonna be another processor bump. What we really need is more ram for professional usage. I just got my current gen 12.9 and am debating about returning it but I got it at a rare discount ($750 from Apple directly) plus you’ll have to pay 25% restock fees so I don’t know.

Do you mean micro-LEDs? There are several mini-LED products in the works:

OP—I can tell you that even though I said I would NOT do this, I have owned every model of iPad Pro there has been so far, and every time I sell one it goes for a VERY good price on Swappa usually within 24 hours of me listing it. I’m a sucker for iPad redesigns, and they seem to do something a little different every single year for the iPad Pro, so I always end up trading up for a new one.

I can also tell you that you’re going to LOVE the iPad Pro for the stuff you want to do. I‘m a pretty heavy user of Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, LumaFusion, and Procreate, and they’re all amazing on these iPads. I made a video for my company a couple of months ago using LumaFusion and it came out so good that my boss didn’t believe me when I told her I did it on an iPad.

This, fully agreed. ?

Who even knows when the Mini LED one is coming, you could get a refurbished 2018 and be happy or get the 2020 and be happy.
I will probably end up selling one of mine when the mini LED comes out but I don’t have a good reason to. Lol
