Getting a new iPad!!!

I found I needed the space. You can always get a mifi if you need 3G network access, which costs less and can be used with other devices too. You can't easily add 32 extra gb, as I discovered when I decided to return and replace mine...
If I were you I would get the 3G, simply because you don't know what tariffs will be available in the future, or what you may use your iPad for in the future. Ie in 6 months you don't want to think you should have bought the 3G.
But its mainly your own opinion. What do you value more? 3G data or storage? At the moment I'm using 40 gigs of data on mine, but its mostly movies. So 32 gigs may be enough for you. But again, you don't want to wish you had got the 64 gig in a few months.
Just buy the best you can afford.
As for apps: Goodreader (59p) which lets you download files in safari.
And iWork. Especially pages. (£5.99 each)

You can jailbreak if you want. I did then restored it back. Just don't steal apps.
Oh and you have to sync your iPad before you can use it.
I believe your photo library will come out larger since the iPad uses higher res versions. Dunno how much larger though.
I found that movies took up scads of space, and I think I'll be up for interactive books and magazines. The Wired mag app is c500 mb, and the Elements book is over a gig.
Get the Apple Case. It's very good, both at protecting the iPad and slanting it to make it easier to type on.
Keyboard and dock are optional - up to you if you think you need it.
It comes with a wall charger.
They will give you a microsim of your choice when you buy it (O2 and Three you can get a free micro-sim from their website without a credit check, T-Mobile a free normal sim - you have to cut it down to microsim, Vodaphone and Orange will send you a free micro-sim after a credit check.
Probably best to get a dock and then a wireless keyboard separately if you want the keyboard dock.
It comes with a wall charger. It won't charge on a lot of USB ports, and on the ones it does, its really slow.

Yes - would also advise getting the wifi version and using mifi for your mobile connection, since true 4G will be rolling out soon, and you might just be frustrated that your 3G components are suddenly obsolete (and let's face it, 3G is just plain slow in many areas).

Go for O2. Three are slightly cheaper and have better coverage, but O2 have much better customer service and easier activation (you can do it all on the iPad, without having to phone up, as you would with Three, Vodafone or Orange).
I was also stuck in the same position. I ended up getting the 16gb wifi model. I wanted ton find out where I'd be using my iPad atnso I can see if I want the 3G model. I have only been using it at home, I have a 3GS so I really don't see a need for 3G.
By the time 4G is widespread a new iPad will be out around this time next year. As for the aesthetics, I disagree.
The honest answer here is that when it comes to deciding on what YOU want only YOU can answer that. Both options are definite, no chances of upgrading, but both have their workarounds.
Wifi version - iPhone and mifi tethering.
32gb - be more efficient and conservative when storing content.
I had the 64 GB 3g model and just couldn't justify the extra price and went down to the 16 GB 3g model and have been very happy. Since my wife and I only use 33 GB total on our MacBook Pro even the 32 GB version would have been overkill for us.
I think you made the right choice. That's what I've got. The extra space is great for loading it up with movies, music and photos.
The smart thing about this decision is you will not be kicking yourself for not going with 3G AND the max storage available....particularly at the times you need either.
