Getting a Windows-Based Laptop

Well I just found out from my college that I would have no roblem getting a MacBook Pro, which makes me very happy. Now the question is should I wait until closer to when school starts,which is on August 21, or should I just buy it now? Does anyone think that there will be any major changes between now and August?

The given is always to wait because there is always something on the horizon. Since you do not need it NOW, there isnt much of a reason to buy it now either.

Might I ask, what college is this? This must be the first college Ive heard that actually requires you to have a specifies what computer you need. Of course many colleges around the world do tell you a general outline, you make your school seem like a hard ass on what kind of a computer to get.

if i had to get a windows laptop i would get a 15" VAIO. they look quite nice compared to most and dont seem to have that "bulk".

The college is Pennsylvania College of Technology, its an affiliate of Penn State. The reason that they give the requirements for the laptop is because of my major, they dont require all students to have this kind of laptop unless they are in the major I am in, which is Tech. Support Specialist.
