I am so excited. This is my first new Apple computer in my life. I am going down to the Apple store today to buy it and visit my sister who lives down there. I plan on getting the mid-level MacBook, with 2 gigs of RAM, and thinking of upgrading the HD, but will most likely do that, if at all, later. I plan on taking pics of every step, and I'll upload them here. I am so excited.

On top of the laptop I plan on getting several things. A nice HP printer($100 off), an iPod Nano for my mom, iWork 08 Family Pack, .Mac, Delicious Library(will likely need to buy that online), a case, maybe a game or two(that is not graphics intensive).

Overall, I am so excited and just wanted to share my excitement with all of you!

Such a great feeling getting the new stuff!! Just got new iWork, iLife and an Airport Extreme, totally made up. Cannot wait to get them unpacked and up and running, have to wait tho!!

Currently in the Apple store, messing around with the new iMac. About to get my new MacBook. Just a very short while left. The new keyboard = love.

This guy sounds like APPLEFAN8's twin brother of a different Mother.

I think a new policy needs to be implemented, all "newbies" retain for 6 months the "newbie" moniker and are kept in the same "newbie" thread where they can get everything out of their system and then after 6 months they are promoted to the general forums.

And yes, I was a "newbie" once as well and understand how exciting it can be, all the way back to my Apple II+ and my first Macintosh 128K in 1984 with the wide carriage ImageWriter.

Wow, you're old....j/k ;)

That makes me want to invest in a .mac, but I have no idea what I'd use it for!

I wish Apple had an e-mail service, like email@apple.mac. That'd be cool. :(

Is it okay to rename your HD icon on your desktop?

It's perfectly okay to rename your hard drive. And, I think they do offer an email account with .Mac...something along the lines of "somebody@mac.com, not sure though, never been interested on .Mac myself.

Wow. Something's a bit odd here, Yamisky0.

You have my dream MacBook config :)

And I bought that same exact printer last night. I love it.

Enjoy your MacBook :D

Ha! Great minds think alike, I guess.
