Giving up my final remaining PC tomorrow!

Hi people,

Everything is in place, and tomorrow at about 4pm my extatic little brother will be coming to visit to pick up my one remaining PC (just some Samsung laptop). I'm now running soley on Apple hardware! Got a MacBook Pro for working around the house, road, wherever the hell I am. An iMac Core Duo with 500GB drive as media server, and for working in the study, and a whole bunch of Mac mini Core Duos connected up to each TV in the house, using 'Bonjour' with the iMac to get music and photos. Very nice setup, very happy I made the switch!

I need my mom's PC (that used to be mine back in the day) die. If nothing else, I'm afraid to look at that thing; last time I troubleshooted her machine it took 3+ hours and she had over 15 active trojans and 500-ish "questionable" registry entries via Ad-Aware.

Plus I need an excuse to buy a mini. Then we'd be a 'Mac only' household, Xbox 360 excepted, of course.

Congratulations! I'm trying to do the same thing. We have to keep one Windows machine, though, because my wife plays The Sims 2 on PC because it's current with expansion packs and I play Tiger Woods 2006 with some friends online. Other than that, though, I want to make that jump...I love my Macs but the current one just isn't fast enough for all I want to do, so once I settle on a machine and buy it, I hope to be able to do the same thing (almost)

Yeah, we need a decent msn client, nobody has bothered to make one. Needs to have webcam and those cute customisable animated gif emoticons MSN has.

I like aMSN, but I don't know that it has webcam support..never tried it.

A MacBook Pro can easily end up $3000, the iMac $2000, and seven minis. With displays? $6000! Boy, they gotta like you down at The Apple Store, or is Steve Jobs yoour uncle?

Computers are cheap. If you can afford a car you can afford 10 macbook's. (Note that I may have expensive computers but don't spend anything on TV's or stereo's because a computer does the same thing just fine)
aMSN is a terrible CPU hog. Stupid java.
