Seriously crap.

Different scrolling areas.. IMO seems bad design.

The header scrolls on the main content area? IMO - it would feel better if just the content inside scrolls - like the right side.

I like it better than Gawker's old system which was seriously CRAP and took FOREVER to load. They still haven't fixed the mobile site's linking issues (Click on a link from a mobile device and it sends you to the mobile home page).

Ugly as hell and a bit confusing.

It's kind of hard to get used to. I don't know if I'll be using their site much now. I can't really use it much now anyway, since the change has done something with my login ability. Anyone know what to do when you're password doesn't work and your reset password attempts don't send anything to your email?

The comments suck. Heck, I'm starred on Lifehacker and now I can't promote threads, I have to reply to them (to promote them). And how do we heart someone?

It's also a huge waste of space, the articles are reduce to 2/3 of their previous width. I didn't mind opening a billion tabs and going to each of them.

It's terrible, frankly.

As I posted elsewhere, while I was pretty much fed up with Gawker Media's antics, I still took a look at their sites frequently.

Now, they usually don't even load, so staying away may be made pretty simple.

Its awful. Until they fix it I'll avoid it

A tech news site that only displays one story is lame

I believe it has a more difficult interface, harder to find articles. =/ Gawker shouldn't have done it. I also am pissed with Jalopnik...

Horrible, but slightly better than their original "design":

This new design fixed 2 things. Maybe they read my review on the old site (a few of my articles got mentioned by them).

TIP 1: Keyboard right / left works to move to next article. I think they made the sidebar so horrible to get more page views.
TIP 2: iPad version is slightly more legible, with some excerpts, but no images.

Great. The content flows underneath the navigation sidebar in Firefox 3.6 and 4. And the navigation sidebar doesn't stop loading in Opera when you switch to blog view.

Life Hacker and every subsidiary of Gawker did the same thing. :(
Not a fan.

I hate it along with most others. In fact, I haven't seen anyone praising it at all. I especially dislike how they hijack j and k keys.

But I would bet that in a few weeks or so, all the complaints will die down as people learn to live with it.

I hate it. It doesn't seem to work on my ipad really good. Anyone else had this prob?

Same, I like Gizmodo and could get used to the new site on my MacBook Pro but it is terrible on an iPad. I can't view it on my iPad anymore, just too bad.

i visit lifehacker regularly and i hate it.

maybe i just dont get it but the order of articles on the left and right side isnt the same. also is there no pagination anymore?

i feel like im missing a lot of articles since i dont find much interesting after the change.

the comments setup for the articles is much harder to read as well.

its the worst site redesign i can remember for some time
