Boy that was an adventure! The Apple store near me is partially closed and things got a bit crazy but I now have the white Magic Keyboard case and HOLY CRAP what a beaut!

Yeah I know people like silver better with the white, but with the space gray iPad it kinda has a storm trooper vibe to it that I dig, haha.

Anyway, much better! Now I just need a case for my case! (jk)

Sweet! I have the orange folio case as well. Curious how it matches with the space gray iPad.

Much like the white Apple watch band, you can use a magic eraser to clean some of the stains from it. However, like stated above, the best method is to get a D-Brand set and slap it on that case.

I have both the white and black magic keyboards. The black one actually shows dirt from surface it’s resting on, grime, and fingerprint marks more easily than the white one.
Ooo this is interesting. I got the black MKB but I am still jonesing for the white. Very worried it will get dirty really quickly but as you said the black one gets dirty too. The white is actually holding up better for you than the black?

Went to Apple store today so that I could decide for sure whether I was keeping my black keyboard or exchanging it for the white one. I have to say the white keyboard is gorgeous! And frankly it was holding up better than the black one on display in terms of finger grease and smudges. You can't really see those flaws on the white keyboard. It's kind of like buying a black car rather than a white one thinking the black won't show dirt as badly as the white, when in fact the reverse is true. That said, I ended up sticking with the black keyboard -- not because I thought white would get dirty faster but rather because the white is so bright that I found it somewhat distracting to look at. Watching movies, for example -- I think the black keyboard would recede rather than intrude on the experience. So I'm sticking with my boring black keyboard and will probably continue to jones for the gorgeous white one! But for those of you still deciding -- the white is stunning!

I started this thread, and after owning the black for several days, I’m not sure it’s any better than the white for not showing fingerprints and smudges. Maybe it holds up better long term, but I’m beginning to think that in many ways the white might be better than the black in terms of showing smudges and fingerprints. My feeling now is that there are tradeoffs both ways so just get what you like.

I are we looking at this correctly? The white and the black mob both would collect the same amount of dirt and grime but the black just wouldn’t show it as much. Isn’t your keyboard still “dirty” so you would need to clean it anyway right?
