Could be a dumb question but...

If you buy this, do you get it for life? I mean all updates for all iOS versions, regardless of if you switch phones, etc.? What is it linked to, your AppleID?

Thanks

Yes.
Its linked to your phone number.
Once you put in a sim with the same phone number and you install the program it recongizes it and downloads your full licence.
If you change your number you will have to contact the developer to transfer and attach your licence to the new phone number.

As I read it the license is only good for one device (unlike most Cydia apps) ?

Is that correct ?

Not really to one device but to one cellphone number.
I actually used the same licence for years with my 3GS, then i4 and now 4S since I didnt change my phone number.
As long as its the same phone number the licence is trasfered and activated on the new device.
Some that buy a licence for a particular phone number/sim they pop in their sim to their friends phone. Then install bitesms, it activates as full licence with their sim and then remove and put back the old sim.
Kinda of a way to go around buying another bitesms purchase but the free version has all the exact same features as the paid version besides a small advertising window on the bottom of the messages page.
I dont see how it bothers people that much, it didnt bother me but I bought it anyway just to give back to the good bros at bitesms that keep working, updating and improving the app with every iOS firmware update.

Still not working? Perhaps your mobile number has changed, if so, please email us your old and new mobile numbers, along with proof of purchase.

Just purchased a biteSMS licence on special, but adds are still showing?

Before e-mailing us, please try biteSMS > Settings > About > Reset All...That should do it!

I bought it at $5 and its well worth it. This and SBsettings are my main reasons for jailbreaking.
