Well, tomorrow I'm flying to Dublin Ireland for a few days and will be taking my iPad mini 4 with me. Although I take it to work every day it doesn't get that much use and I feel it's neglected so will be nice to leave my Pro at home and give my ip mini 4 some tlc.

Starting out with the original iPad, I now have all three sizes.

I'm not that fond of iPads in general, but find the sizes are just different enough to warrant owning all three. While I only have a desire to use them occasionally, they do offer a degree of variety that makes sense for me.

If I had to choose just one it would most likely be the middle size.

Must be nice to have about 2k to spend on things you don't like.

I do realize that experience is subjective but this just sounds ridiculous.

iPad Pro is so light that I can hold it in one hand and I barely feel the weight, it fits in some of my jackets pocket and if I put it in a bag it feels like the bag is basically empty. I think that in terms of portability and weight iPad Air 2 and now the iPad Pro 9,7" made iPad Mini basically obsolete.
when you get used to the form factor of the Mini then standard iPads immediately feel heavy and awkward.
Im still using the Pro,but it's just awkward, heavy and uncomfortable,I might as well fire up the Macbook.
And your statement of Air 2 and Pro 9.7 making Mini obsolete (because of weight/size) is just ridiculous.

You said you use the device for web, email and YouTube. That pretty much works on ANY iPad mini, and these tasks won't demand more processing power in the near future either.
any iPad? No I don't think so,I mean depends what you mean by works..what I'm after is buttery smooth fast performance and no lag at all.I'm getting that on the iPad Pro 9.7 and almost same (bur noticeably worse) on Mini 4.
My Mini 2 definitely started to show its slow processor and small ram while broswing webpages..that awful safari refresh habbit..so I completely disagree with your coment.
My concern is how the Mini 4 will cope next year? will it still be up to the job or will it start to show the weaker hardware?

Yeah, I would agree. At first, I thought the separation of the cover from the case to be a cool idea - you could do color combos and such - but they are CERTAINLY over priced!

I did end up getting a Smart Case/Cover combo for the mini. I got hit by a car while crossing the street and the mini fell out of my coat pocket. The mini itself (including the screen) was fine, but the sides were dinged up and the back has some big scratches - so I bought the combo to cover up the damage (I didn't like seeing the damage and the case covers it perfectly).

The case/cover I got for the mini seems to fit pretty well - no complaints (except the price and the bulk it adds).
I know, absolutely horrible case (silicone + smart cover).
There is no doubt, ugly, flimsy and offensively over priced.
I sold them and now bought a generic but well made and very good looking case from amazon (Moko Ultra Slim) and frankly it's 10x better than Apple's offering and literally 15x cheaper.
