good alternatives to twitter app?

Tweetie. iPhone and Desktop versions

Seem to be the best to me. It's a great app.
(apart from the silly "locating" screen)

Could not get on with Tweetdeck at all.

FWIW, I agree with mac88 that Twitter is way overrated and overhyped by the media. I respect that others may disagree, but this is a forum after all.

Anyway, what I am getting to is suggesting that the best Twitter app is none at all.

FWIW - I don't believe the purpose of this thread was to discuss the merits of Twitter. Perhaps you can respect that?

I dunno if its a perfect alternative to twitter, but that heresay app I DLed a few days ago was interesting. Clearly it needs some work, new features and such. Read on another forum that an update is coming, but who knows when. Maybe I will just drive around and post mean stuff in front of my ex-girlfriends house. ^_^
