well, from the two quotes, my first recommendation would be a new girlfriend.

have fun learning about the new computer and how weird it feels to not defrag anything... :apple:

Haha... no way can I replace the girl. :) She just likes to tease me about my impulse buying of electronics.

Hope it comes tommorow.... Amazon says they shipped it out, but the UPS tracking isn't updated with anything other than "Billing information recieved." Maybe they are being slow at updating, and I will see a flurry of updates and an "Out of delivery" in the morning. :D

It's here! :) Being as I work nights, I'm a bit tired.... slept on the couch today so I would hear UPS come to the door. Just got it out of the box, yanked the ethernet cable out of my PC, and went to work setting this baby up. So far, I've done all the software updates that were available, set up my new Logitech keyboard/mouse, and am installing World of Warcraft. Now to figure out why my stupid wireless router wasn't working, so I can tinker with how to get my files off the PC, and onto this baby. I'll try to throw a picture up here later on, but the desk is a mess right now with both computers, piles of mail, and software. :)

I didn't get to enjoy the "new mac" smell, being that I was too busy swatting at the kitten and trying to waken myself up. I did however enjoy the new mac experience for about 2 hours of tinkering around... then about an hour before work transferring files to an external drive and copying them to the Mac. Also got all the important things off the external, so I can reformat in the morning to make it more Mac-friendly.

I installed AudiumX, Growl, and MICE IRC so far... what are some good essential software that I can download for free? :)
