This google earth app is of little use to me. All the animation is nice... but when I WANT something... the maps app is all I need and I'm not wasting time waiting for an animation to load.

I really don't have any practical use for it. And it's kind of jittery in function on an original 8 GB iPHone.

I dl'd Google Earth last night. I have a 8gb 1st gen iPhone. While its a cool lil app, i find it very hard to use w/ the tilt feature, it booted me out of the app 1/2 of the time I use it, and its sooooooooooo f'n slow on edge.

No, Google Earth is not the most useful app in the world in terms of pure productivity. Neither was the desktop version. But it is damned cool, and one of the most impressive demonstrations of the power of this phone. I'm extremely happy it is available for the iPhone.

C'mon people, live a little.
