I could have a blast using this while driving my car,I use my cell to data log and monitor boost,timing,a/f,intake air temps and I have to look to the side to my cell to see this.

this would be so cool to have it right in your view and be able to record a 1/4mile run at the same time.

but not for 1500 lol

Sergey Brin already says the mass market consumer version will be cheaper. Not sure why all the fuss for the $1500 price tag.

Because plenty of people (like some in this thread) do not understand the simple concept that a brand new type of device, which is not being mass produced and is in the prototyping stages will be far more expensive than the final product.

$1,500 is a lot, but I'm sure that price would come down over time. I wear glasses anyway, so something like this is appealing, but not for that price. Basically this thing mirrors the same features we have on our phones, so to ask that much is asking a lot. Plus I'm not sure on the specifics as far as prescription lenses, charging, battery life all that good stuff.

As far as the legality goes.... There really is no precedent so I doubt there are any concrete laws against something like this right now. As always it's up to the driver to be safe, and in many ways, if used properly, this would be safer than a dash mounted GPS.

Glass is a love/hate relationship for me. It looks "geeky" yet is so innovative and as someone else said, light years ahead of the competition. It's a frame with a small "square" in the corner. Weird.
