That's only a bad thing in the land of fanboys. Otherwise the rest of us don't really care. If iOS has nice features, yes I want them on Android. It's a little bit sad that you would even say that, although I understand it's the reality on these forums and goes both ways.
I disagree somewhat. Of course users of each OS would like to see their preferred system adopted great functionality they see in other OS's but at the same time, what would be the benefit of having two OS's with nearly identical functionality? I personally think what make them different and the differing functionality they bring to the table is what make each exciting. I don't want to watch WWDC hoping to just see Apple mimic some of Android's functionality, or for the same to occur at Google I/O. I want them to push each other, not necessarily both slowly move towards each other.
I know car analogies get used to death around these board but how boring would driving, and cars in general be if they were nearly all alike?
