My biggest issue with swiftkey is the spacing between the keys. I always accidentally hit the space bar. The stock android keyboard has great spacing and the auto correct has only improved with each update.

After fiddling with the settings, I'm beginning to warm up to the Google keyboard. It's taken some time adjusting from Swype. I'm still going to trial it for at least a few more days before deciding whether to use the Google keyboard or Swype as my portrait keyboard.

Kii is like stock Android keyboard "plus."

It's stock Android keyboard with additional features. Very impressive. And something about it feels faster.

Another convert! I wish I remember how I even stumbled upon Kii, being so new to Android. But man, it's as close to a perfect mobile keyboard that I've ever experienced.

I seem to type better with this keyboard. I have huge fingers and I believe the Google Keyboard has more evenly spaced keys.

Indeed, the letters on Swift are much closer to each other and narrower than in Google's stock keyboard. I've found that I make fewer mistakes after switching to the stock keyboard.

Love how there are so many great keyboard options to fit everyone's needs.

: cough : Ahem, iOS keyboard.

Agreed! I recently made the switch to an Android device and I do like the fact that you can easily customize the device to fit your needs.

I do admire how you can repeat yourself so many times in one thread.

Unlike some who insist on bringing iOS in every Android thread, back on topic. I do like this keyboard above all others. Great design and easy to use. Great for Google to make this available as an app.

Kii is truly an amazing keyboard. It's got everything!

The only one thing I can think of that it's missing is customizable secondary symbols. I forgot which third party keyboard had that. For example I could make the question mark behind the letter k if I wanted to.

Other then that it's the perfect keyboard. It even let's you customize how thick the gesture typing trail is. Awesome.

I'm not sure whether the Xperia keyboard is the same as the stock Google one, but that Xperia one is absolutely amazing. the Swipe feature is like my favorite way to text! Always have trouble adjusting when going back to my iPod

Kii keyboard. Look it up. It's free too. Think of it as stock keyboard "plus".

Thank you. Now I'm trying out and comparing multiple keyboards that I've downloaded from the Play Store (Swype, SwiftKey). I can't decide which one to use but this is the beauty of Android, endless customisation and personalisation.

But I'm leaning towards SwiftKey as I like having multiple active languages for auto correction.

I decided to give MessagEase a try. I like the concept of this type of keyboard. I find that when using it, I am making very few typing errors. Since the keyboard is so different, my typing speed is pretty slow right now. The learning curve is huge. I estimate it will take at least a few weeks to become fairly proficient with it.

After using a couple different keyboards, decided to go with Google Keyboard. It's not feature rich like other ones but I prefer its clean and simple look. Most importantly, almost never misspelled anything whether I was typing or swiping.

Did you try Kii? You get all the features plus the exact stock Google look (it's the "ICS" theme).

Think of it as Google Keyboard "Plus."

It's free, too, so doesn't hurt to give it a shot. It's really the best keyboard out there.

After trying various keyboards I am back to Samsung's. Swiftkey has this annoying issue of the big "Shift" key. Always tap it unintentionally often.
I find no different in the prediction capability of Samsung keyboard compared to Swiftkey (or other keyboards). It is still the fastest and what I like most it gives you all the predicted words (in the dropdown) and long press to give you all the most used punctuations. Only need to get used to tapping the word to select instead of using spacebar.

Not yet.. Just read the description. What's "ALL premium features are free to use, but they will be reset every hour" mean? What resets every hour?

Wow, Kii really is the shiz. Much better dual language control than with Swiftkey. I went for premium after ten minutes.

The only thing I'm missing is the ability to have a larger row spacing between the top numbers row and the letter keys, does anyone know how to set that? So many things to fiddle with, I'm kinda staring myself blind :p

The lack of this level of typing is one of the things that make it impossible for me to use an iPhone at the moment. There's no way I could live without this stuff now that I've begun using it.

it means if a feature says "premium" you can use it, but after an hour it will be removed. You can keep trying it and have to deal with a reset unless you buy it. Personally, I do not need any of the premium features so it is irrelevant for me.

"Theme & Background & Size" might have the sizing settings you're looking for. Not sure.

Agreed about the iOS keyboard -- it's dreadfully bad and desperately in need of an update. I was so certain it would get one with iOS 7 (it's been years) but alas, nope.

Dunno. I just use the free one. I don't need the premium features. Nothing that I can customize resets with the free one.

EDIT: I see it's been answered for you.

No doubt this is by far Samsungs best efforts at a keyboard in quite some time but it's still nowhere near as good as SwiftKey. I guess people tend to forget that the more mileage you log with SwiftKey, it only gets better.
